Do not list your car on autotrader
This is a warning post please do not list your car on auto trainer under any circumstances they will take your money and you will be sent about 50 to 60 spam messages per day from different scammers and they have no way to turn off notifications for this or filtered it out,
I have contacted their support team three times regarding this issue and they’re only solution was to ignore all these messages until the car has been on a market for a long time. They stated that’s when the scammers tend to stop targeting people peoples cars.
During my two days listed with them, I’ve received 43 messages regarding my very aggressively priced used Toyota RAV4 and out of all those messages all 43 were spam messages request requesting me to buy some sort of Vin verification or send them money
Very bad experience then when I asked for a refund, they only refunded me $10 out of my 50 spent
Will be definitely leaving them bad reviews all over
What’s really sad is it’s very easy to solve this problem with a few lines of code that even the most rudimentary AI coding system will write for them, but they just refuse to take any action very horrible company. I will be also issuing a charge back on my credit card.
What’s the most infuriating is that they know it’s an issue and they refuse to offer a refund despite the car only being listed for less than 48 hours
I will be sending this to my local state attorney general and I appreciating your recommendations who else I can report the scam company to
