Couldn't get an internship
I am a 2nd year CSE undergrad , I couldn't get any internships this summer ( all my friends are doing some internships either through referral or they found them on their own ). I feel like I am already too far behind. I am not sitting idle , I have started doing some meaningful projects (nothing big but not too shabby either) , getting my dsa base strong solving Leetcode.
I still need opinion on what should I be doing , should I still apply for internships or just fully focus on my projects ( since I am pretty sure 90% of the summer internships would have already been filled out) .
I am planning on pushing atleast 4 strong projects and a good grasp of concepts like arrays , linkedlist , two pointers , prefix sum , dp , graphs and trees by the end of my 2 month holidays ( till July 12) .
Kindly provide guidance on what I should do and how to get rid of this FOMO.
