Implant-Free Rhinoplasty (No Silicone) - 1 Month 9 Days Post-Op by Dr. Junyoung Kim (Seoul, South Korea)

Implant-Free Rhinoplasty (No Silicone) - 1 Month 9 Days Post-Op by Dr. Junyoung Kim (Seoul, South Korea)

This patient underwent rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Jun Young Kim at WillBe Plastic Surgery Clinic.

Because she already had sufficient bridge height, there was no need for a silicone implant or any other artificial implant material. Instead, the focus of the surgery was to conservatively smooth a small dorsal hump and create a slimmer, more defined nasal tip while preserving a natural appearance.

To achieve this, we used a combination of irradiated donor rib cartilage and the patient's own ear cartilage for tip refinement. No silicone implant, Gore-Tex, or other synthetic implant was used.

The surgical plan included:

  • Conservative reduction of the dorsal hump (rather than lowering the entire bridge)
  • No silicone implant, since the patient's bridge was already adequately high
  • Tip plasty using irradiated rib cartilage and the patient's own ear cartilage to create a slimmer, more projected nasal tip

The goal was not to dramatically change her nose, but to improve the overall balance of her profile while maintaining facial harmony.

At just 1 month and 9 days after surgery, some residual swelling, especially in the nasal tip, is still expected. Rhinoplasty continues to mature over the coming months, and tip definition typically becomes more noticeable as the swelling gradually resolves.

Feel free to leave any questions below about hump reduction, implant-free rhinoplasty, irradiated rib cartilage, ear cartilage grafts, healing, or the recovery timeline. I'm happy to
explain anything in more detail!

Photo Note: The before and after photos have not been digitally edited, retouched, or reshaped in any way. The patient chose to wear makeup for her routine follow-up appointment, but no filters or photo enhancement have been applied to either image. Please focus on the nasal bridge, profile, and tip contour when comparing the results.

Implant Free Rhinoplasty - 10 Days Post-Op by Dr. Junyoung Kim (Seoul, South Korea)

1 Month 9 Days Post-op:

This patient underwent implant free rhinoplasty with hump perfection performed by Dr. Jun Young Kim at WillBe Plastic Surgery Clinic. One of her main concerns was the dorsal hump, and she also wanted a more refined, balanced nasal tip without using silicone or any artificial implant material.

For this procedure, Dr. Kim removed the hump and reconstructed the nose using only biological cartilage grafts, irradiated rib cartilage and the patient’s own ear cartilage. No silicone implant, Gore-Tex, or other synthetic materials were used.

The goal was not to create an overly high or dramatic nose, but rather to achieve a smoother profile and improved tip definition while maintaining a natural appearance that harmonizes with the rest of the face.

For those curious about the procedure, here is a simple breakdown of how this type of rhinoplasty is performed:

• Careful reduction and smoothing of the dorsal hump

• Harvesting ear cartilage from behind the ear

• Preparing irradiated donor rib cartilage for structural support

• Reshaping and refining the nasal tip using a combination of cartilage grafts

• Adjusting the nasal profile to create a smoother bridge line without silicone implants

At just 1 month and 9 days post-op, some residual swelling is still present, particularly in the nasal tip. Rhinoplasty results continue to evolve over several months, with tip swelling gradually improving and definition becoming more apparent over time.

Feel free to leave any questions below about cartilages used, recovery, swelling, or long-term rhinoplasty results. I'm happy to explain anything in more detail!

Transconjunctival Fat Repositioning + Full Face Fat Graft - 1 Month Post-Op by Dr. Junyoung Kim (Seoul, South Korea)

1 Month Post-op:

This patient underwent transconjunctival fat repositioning and full face fat grafting performed by Dr. Jun Young Kim at WillBe Plastic Surgery Clinic.

When she first came in for consultation, her main concern was her under-eye bags and dark circles, which made her look tired even when well-rested. She originally came in specifically to discuss transconjunctival fat repositioning.

We also discussed her overall facial contour, and she ultimately decided to combine the procedure with full face fat grafting to restore volume and create a softer, more balanced appearance.

One thing I often explain is that under-eye bags are not always an isolated issue. The lower eyelid, cheek, and midface all contribute to how prominent dark circles and eye bags appear, so addressing both areas together often produces a more natural result.

For those unfamiliar with transconjunctival fat repositioning, the procedure is performed through the inside of the lower eyelid, leaving no visible external scar. Rather than simply removing under-eye fat, the goal is to reposition existing volume to address both the bulging and hollow components of the lower eyelid.

At 1 month post-op, some settling of the grafted fat is still expected, but the improvement in the under-eye area is already noticeable, and the added facial volume has created a softer, more refreshed appearance overall.

What I like most about this result is that she still looks completely like herself. The goal was never to make her look dramatically different, but simply less tired and more balanced.

If you're interested in learning more about the fat grafting portion of the procedure, I wrote a more detailed explanation in a previous post:

Endotine Forehead Reduction & Lift - 20 Days Post-Op by Dr. Junyoung Kim (Seoul, South Korea)

This patient is now 20 days post-op after undergoing an Endotine forehead reduction and lift performed by Dr. Jun Young Kim at WillBe Plastic Surgery Clinic.

Her main goal was to shorten her forehead length while also achieving a natural, upward lift of the brows, without an over-pulled or “surgical” look. She was also concerned with downtime as she had to go back to work within 2 days post operation. The Endotine method allows for a secure repositioning of the forehead tissues using small, dissolvable fixation devices. These devices gradually absorb over several months, leaving no permanent hardware behind.

At just 3 weeks post-op, you can already see, significantly decreased swelling, shorter/more proportional forehead line, and her softly elevated brow line. The incisions along the hairline are also healing well and continuing to fade!

For those curious about the technique, here’s a simple breakdown of how an Endotine forehead reduction + lift is typically performed:

  1. A precise hairline incision is made to allow controlled advancement of the scalp.

  2. The forehead skin is carefully lifted to create room for reduction.

  3. Endotine devices are placed to securely hold the new position during healing.

  4. The scalp is advanced downward to reduce forehead height.

  5. Fine sutures are used to close the incision along the hairline.

Because the Endotine device provides stable fixation, patients tend to experience more consistent brow positioning and less risk of early drooping during recovery. She’s definitely still in the early phase of healing, so the final result will continue to refine over the next 1–3 months as swelling fully settles and the hairline incision softens.

Feel free to leave any questions below, I’d be happy to explain anything in more detail!

Full Face Fat Graft - 10 Days Post-Op by Dr. Junyoung Kim (Seoul, South Korea)

10 Days Post-op:

This patient underwent full face fat grafting performed by Dr. Jun Young Kim at WillBe Plastic Surgery Clinic. She wanted very natural volumization—a subtle, soft enhancement rather than an overly filled look. Fat grafting is one of the safest and most natural approaches for this because it uses the patient’s own fat, typically taken from the abdomen or inner thigh, meaning no foreign material is introduced into the face.

After processing and grafting, the added volume blends smoothly with existing facial structures. Even at just 10 days post-op, swelling is already minimal, and by around 1 month, results typically look fully natural and settled.

For those curious about the process, here’s a simple breakdown of how full face fat grafting is performed:

  1. Fat harvesting from the abdomen or inner thigh
  2. Centrifuging the fat to isolate purified, healthy fat cells
  3. Converting a portion into nanofat for delicate areas requiring finer texture
  4. Injecting the fat through a tiny puncture hole, leaving no visible incision

To further enhance fat cell survival, we also draw a small amount of the patient’s blood to create PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and mix it with the grafted fat. This is a specialty technique used at our clinic to support better retention and smoother healing.

Feel free to leave any questions below—whether about the fat grafting process, healing timeline, or fat survival rates. I’m happy to explain anything in more detail!

Revisional Rhinoplasty, Forehead Fat Graft - 2 Weeks Post-Op by Dr. Junyoung Kim (Seoul, South Korea)

2 Weeks Post-op:

This patient underwent a revisional rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Jun Young Kim at WillBe Plastic Surgery Clinic. She previously had rhinoplasty elsewhere and was unhappy with the pinched appearance of her nasal tip when viewed from the front. She also had a bulbous tip, which contributed to a wider, less defined tip shape.

For this revision, donor rib cartilage and ear cartilage were used to rebuild and support the tip, correcting both the pinched contour and bulbous shape. A silicone dorsal implant was placed to gently refine and elevate the nasal bridge for a more balanced profile.

She also received forehead fat grafting. Her forehead had a slightly sunken look, and she wanted to improve upper-face volume and overall harmony while undergoing revision rhinoplasty. The added fat created a smoother, fuller, and more youthful contour.

Although these photos were taken just 2 weeks post-op, the results already appear quite natural with minimal visible swelling thanks to stable graft support and conservative refinement.

Feel free to ask any questions below, and let me know what you think of the results! I’d be happy to explain the surgical approach, healing timeline, or graft choices in more detail.
