I’m using a bunch of IKEA Billy bookshelves to turn a room into a library. Unfortunately, there’s two return air ducts behind a couple of the bookshelves (see image). I will probably have the door open to the library most of the time, but I suspect I still need to provide some sort of air flow to the area behind the shelves.

What I’ve done so far is drill through the holes in the front all the way up and down the sides but since those holes are tiny, I’m not sure it’s enough. I was also trying to find a very small grille (I think the smallest I saw was about 4 inches x 4 inches) and I could maybe cut a small hole on the back and put one or two of those up.

What kind of advice do you have for me?

I’m looking for someone to clean once a month or so and came home to an ad stuck to my door the other day from an Esperanza Hernandez. Has anyone heard of her before?

Alternatively, any recommendations that won’t cost a fortune? I used to live in a small town and had someone come in once a month for only $40 a month. She’d spend an hour, and usually managed to do a good cleaning of my two bathrooms and kitchen and a fast vacuum/dust of the rest of my 1700 square foot house. I’m not expecting that rate in Lincoln but the quote I got for just cleaning 3 small bathrooms (only one of which I use much) and a very small kitchen was $185+, which seems super steep to me.
