Made a quick blur sim where I show parents what their kids actually see when they claim they are: "seeing fine"
The thing is, they can still read the big E. So when you ask if they can see, they say yes and they’re not lying. This blur is all they’ve ever known. They think everyone sees the tree like a green blob. CAUSE THEY THINK IT IS NORMAL!
Typical kid: sitting closer to the TV, “preferring” the front row, copying notes from the friend next to them instead of the board, headaches after school. Nobody ever says “mom my vision is blurry.” They just adapt… So yeah, yearly eye exam even if they swear they’re fine. Especially 6-16 when this stuff progresses fast!!!
