Newbie Esthi…WWYD?

I started working at a spa when I started esthi school which is great. However I am now a licensed esthi, was promised they would transition me off the front desk to esthi, but don’t have much movement on being “transitioned”. I only work a short shift for a couple hours once a week and am last in booking order, meaning sometimes I have 1-2 clients if I’m lucky, and sometimes I have absolutely nobody. I did talk with management and asked for more esthi hours to which they replied “we technically didn’t need another esthi, we’re doing YOU a favor”.
I feel this is hurting my experience as a newbie, but also fully understanding it does take time to get clients. Im tempted to take the leap and go elsewhere, the only problem is I’m starting from scratch and need some type of income for bills. So esthi’s, what would you do in my situation?
