How do you stay focused on anarchism while indulging in a society that tries to steer you in the other direction either by media or social alienation, to name a few forms?

Is it just me or is our media just the rich pissing on us, from political soapboxers insulting our intelligence and denigrating everything we stand for at the behest of the establishment to sitcoms that tout capitalist/materialist lifestyles with phony problems that have no relevance. Even when I try to forget about my problems with TV, I’m still reminded of them. Manufacturing consent includes manufactured dissent (Bill Maher, Jon Stewart) I watch 2 and a half men cuz I think it’s funnier than anything else on but i believe that show just depicts the evils of capitalism in a cartoonish setting, made for me to laugh at it, while most ppl see it as being a show that props up capitalism and the hedonist aspects of it. Maybe I’m overthinking, thoughts?
