My rant about politics and sexuality.

I always been weird out by people expressing normes (or rather their weird opinions of it) about the most intimite part of a couple, whatever sexual orientation it is.

But with age, the weird becomes anger. I'm sick and tired of people (aka, mostly conservatives) wanting to control and normalise this shit. It's weird. We're talking about people's private parts, and what they're doing with it.
And you know the people that express their "morals" about this, are the most deviant POS.

The weird argument about "nature" too, pisses me off. As if nature opresses us to only reproduce. Nature doesn't have an opinion nor set objectives for us. What - If you reproduce correctly, nature gives you points or something?! Besides, we're not caves mans anymore, ffs. (And I'm sure that's insulting our ancestors too)
Don't get me started on religions...

Obviously the LGBT community is the one taking the full force of this opression...

Not only it's weird, they just don't have shit to say on this. We shouldn't let the discussion happen to be begin with.

Until it's involving violence and crimes, it's private, you don't have a single say, get the fuck out my intimacy, and fuck off. Puritanism needs to burn. Asap.

And I'm cis hetero-sexual.

Anyways, that was me and my random messy rant that I needed off my chest.

Love is love.
Love is power.
Fall in love, not in line.

On July 4, 1998, best friends Lin "Spit" Newborn, 24, a Black skinhead, and Daniel Shersty, 20, a white US air force serviceman, both members of Anti-Racist Action (ARA), were murdered in the desert outside Las Vegas by a gang of white supremacists.

Newborn's friend, PJ Pérez, described him as "a madman. A poet. A motherfucker whose good side you'd want to stay on. He was a father, a son, a passionate and dedicated fighter for what's right." Shersty was born to a working class family in Florida, and joined the Air Force in order to fund college which his parents could not afford.

The pair, both amateur musicians, met in Las Vegas, became fast friends and helped co-found the local chapter of militant anti-fascist group ARA. ARA took the fight to neo-Nazis who were recruiting in the local skinhead scene and attacking Black and Latino schoolchildren as well as white "race traitors".

One neo-Nazi was swiftly jailed for the murders, and others were convicted in 2012. ARA continued their fight against white supremacists across the US, and helped disrupt many of their activities, and successfully drove them from many local youth subcultures.

Open Source Electric Kei Truck

Detroit-based content creator Andy Didorosi is announcing his company is designing and building an open-source modular electric Kei truck, and he is openly calling for support from folks with specialized knowledge to help. This truck is a small utility vehicle meant to last and a step towards a future where we openly share and collaborate to build what we need for a future where we decide our technology instead of the likes of Mark Zuckerberg, John May, Marry Barra, or any other CEO pandering to their shareholders.

Co-optation and recognition in Tamazgha/Maghreb

Disclaimer: This is just my point of view and not in any way something to be taken on face value. I know people have different views on this.

I think we need to recognize the difference between co-optation and recognition. In the Maghreb/Tamazgha, only Morocco and Algeria have recognized Tamazight as an official language, Morocco in 2011 and Algeria in 2016. This did not come out of nowhere; it came through struggle and literally blood. Since independence, Amazigh activists and everyday people were jailed and tortured by these states, which feared a diverging identity that could fracture their attempts to homogenize society during the Cold War. That attempt was always impossible, given that regional identities in the Maghreb are inherently diverse.

Morocco and Algeria followed Arabism not out of genuine concern for West Asian or North African causes, but purely to preserve the newly independent state. The first thing the Moroccan state did after independence from France and Spain was to disarm the Amazigh and Arabized tribes from the Rif, the Atlas Mountains, and the Souss. In Algeria, tensions inside the FLN between pan-Arabists and local Amazigh officers from Kabylia persisted well after independence, as the state leaned heavily into Arabism.

Many states in the West Asian-North African region did this, whether monarchies or republics, because they needed legitimacy and a unified identity to rule. Tunisia was more successful at this due to its smaller number of self-identifying Amazigh people. Libya, at some point, would simply make you disappear if you challenged the state. These two countries did not have to concede to Amazigh demands because Morocco and Algeria are different, they have huge Amazigh populations. Arabist identity succeeded in countries like Jordan and Egypt, for example. In Jordan, the kingdom already had Arabized Circassian and Armenian populations in the cities and a dominant Arab Bedouin culture in the rural plains and deserts. Egypt is the same: the Siwa Amazigh, Nubians, and other minor ethnic groups are negligible in front of the dominant Arabized culture, from the Bedouins of Sinai to the fishermen and farmers of the Nile, and the Coptic and Egyptian Arab-speaking intelligentsia in the cities.

Historically, the countries we call today Algeria or Morocco were never centralized nation-states, but rather autonomous tribal confederations, federations, and nomadic tribes who traded, grew agriculture, and herded sheep. The central great cities, in Morocco's case, what we call the Imperial cities, were the trade hubs and places where the central state would organize its political power. The main purpose of this central state was to defend against foreign armies and protect trading routes passing through tribal lands from bandits, in exchange for swearing loyalty and paying taxes.

This brings me to the Arab Spring. After 2011, the Algerian and Moroccan governments realized they could no longer create a homogeneous national identity. Their increasing alignment with Western interests, given the West's dominant position following the Cold War, brought them into a contradiction: their people had become very anti-imperialist and in touch with international movements that threatened the states' own interests and power within this world order.

So, they started co-opting the already rich and existing movements for Tamazight and Amazigh identity. Morocco began sponsoring Amazigh cultural events; Algeria did the same. Over time, they desperately started to identify Amazighism with the state. For example, in Morocco, which has always been pro-Westernn, you will often hear people from a new Moroccan Irredentist movement that you need to align with the state because it is the one that protects Amazigh culture. If you do not, you are labeled an Islamist or pro-Hezbollah and pro-Palestine. They argue that if you do not support the current relationship with the Israeli state, you must be Nasserist or Islamist. They are desperately trying to co-opt a new Amazigh culture instead of recognizing the already existing one. They are trying to convince us that Amazigh culture is Zionist, capitalist, monarchist, or pro-military junta, depending on the country, and that it is tied to the leader and his worldview.

This is why I consider it co-optation rather than recognition. Some of the most neglected areas in Morocco and Algeria are Amazigh. In Morocco, there are still people suffering from the 2023 earthquake, while some rich Moroccan nationalist is happy that a Moroccan football player in the national team has Tifinagh script on his socks. We have Tifinagh everywhere, but what about the people who speak Tamazight? Who identify as Amazigh? Aren't they as important? Recognition and co-optation are different words.

Liberation comes from the individual and the masses liberating themselves in a coalition of progressive liberatory forces not from a savior or a state.

Suggestions for Anarchist adjacent parenting books, please

My partner and I are really struggling caring for our 7 y.o.

His mother is a narcissist who ignores him when he's required to be in her care, and he's got abandonment issues from her neglect, our divorce, and my months long travel my work requires that his mother wouldn't allow me to bring him on.

My parents were not great parents, with lots of anger, violence, and overall toxic behaviors, and my partner and I want to be better.

We currently have next to no support in child care aside from his 4 days every other week, which is stressful because his last 10 day stay resulted in severe constipation and a severe rectal rash for our child.

I'm looking for resources that will have discussion of strategies for dealing with certain defiance and disrespect and occasionally now violence towards me. We're trying to stay calm, and reason with him, and obviously not direct violence towards him, but when he's not listening and is yelling and I'm already at the end of my rope, it's so hard to stay calm enough, and to even know what to do, because my parents would have hit me long before then.

Anyways, and books/blogs/videos on parenting that utilize anarchist principles? Doesn't have to be explicit about anarchism.

Mailing lists as alternative social infrastructure to social media

Mailing lists as alternative for social media networks

So if any of you [socialize] regularly you might’ve noticed that local music and political scenes often end up using a social media platform for info. Instagram, Facebook, uhhh, whatever else people use. With the worsening of data harvesting I’m interested in how to create low barrier social networks for info.

My use case is p low risk, music shows and raves. But I want to do it both as a demonstration for others doing more high risk stuff and to reduce scene dependence on corpo social media. My main thought is mailing lists. Make it a basic “scan QR code, input email and a passphrase” (pass to avoid bot), with the hosting place delisted from search algorithms. I’ve heard you can further obfuscate the data on clear sites with other tech stuff but I’m a screws and bracket girl not a computer wiz.

Basically, I’ve come to ask for info aid:

\- Have you used mailing lists to organize?

\- What security issues do they present?

\- How can I make signing up easy for humans who I meet IRL but difficult for bots or internet trolls?

\- Are there currently maintained projects that provide the digital infrastructure to run a mailing list? With basic security so emails aren’t listed on the clearnet and stuff like that.

I know RiseUp allows mailing lists but I haven’t seen that project get updated in forever.

Please keep suggestions accessible for the luddite I am, I don’t code and don’t own a home pc, I am homeless and cannot setup a personal server.

Solidarity etc etc etc

Im writing an essay on how fascism is still around in america and how its just modernized and normalized through media.

So far the only point i have is hyper-masculinity and the "grindset" mindset has been fetishized into being misogynistic and young men having a lack of empathy towards anyone who isn't an American. I just need more articles to site my work so if anyone has any that would be deeply appreciated!

How does one classify or explain theorically the existence of anarchist organizations that become political parties? (PVP/IL)

I am thinking of the case of the Partido por la Victoria del Pueblo (PVP) in Uruguay, which emerged from the especifist organization Federación Anarquista Uruguaya (FAU). The PVP is now part of the Uruguayan Frente Amplio (Broad Front) political coalition. I am also thinking of Izquierda Libertaria (Libertarian Left) in Chile, a political party created by the OCL (Organización Comunista Libertaria). The OCL was a platformist/especifist organization that became a political party and helped form Chile's Frente Amplio before abandoning it to become independent.

Are these cases—where especifist anarchists build a political party maintaining anarchist principles and theory but abandon the dogma of anti-electoralism to become politically influential—still forms of anarchism? If not, what ideology do they represent? How can one name this phenomenon?

To be transparent, as an anarchist and a member of IL, I would theorize that anarchism has historically had tendencies that utilize institutions as a tactical and strategic tool, such as the Spanish libertarian possibilism tendency. Other cases that come to mind are Georges Fontenis and the FCL in France, which participated in elections, and Murray Bookchin's communalist/libertarian municipalist theory, which utilizes elections to achieve libertarian goals. This makes me think that for a long time, there have been anarchist theories and divisions within the ideology that aren't as cut and dried regarding the anti-electoral dogma.

I have been considering theorizing these deviations through the lens of political theory analysis. I am thinking of calling these anarchist experiences and theories "Institutionalist Anarchism," and categorizing the cases of the PVP and IL as "Post-Especifism," because these experiences are best understood as an evolution and reformation of especifist theory and praxis into a new form of libertarian organization.

Minneapolis Stopped ICE - Now the State is Coming After The Anarchists (Emmett Doyle Interview)

In this interview, MN15 defendant Emmett Doyle describes the raids and indictment against anarchists in the Twin Cities, as well as thoughts on the case, Metro Surge, and supporting arrestees. Emmett says that the raids are primarily about punishing people for their anti-authoritarian political beliefs, and making an example out of them in order to intimidate the rest of the community. He says that he has faith in his codefendants but that the important thing is to make sure everyone has the support they need to remain resilient under state pressure. He says the most important thing people can do, beyond donating to the legal defense fund or holding solidarity actions, is to remain involved and resistant to ICE terror and keep standing with the immigrant communities and those who have been put in ICE camps or deported.

Posting this to raise awareness about the repression of anarchists.

Honest Government Ad | Palantir

Palantir is a global threat to all people of this world.

AI and security contractor companies should be regarded with the same animosty and lens we view the Imperialist, Reactionary and counter-revolutionary powers of global capitalism.

A lot of people tend to forget that Palantir is not an american problem but a global people's problem.

We already see Despotic states in the middle east use Israeli spy software like Pegasus on dissidents as a treat for normalization of relations with that state.

A lot of Monsters are salivating at this prospect.

Organize worldwide!

i like how americans celebrate the breaking of ties with a monarchy and not the creation of its government

i've encountered some people who think that the fourth of july was when the united states was created, but the government came into being june 21 1788.

so remember - there was almost 12 years between when the colonists broke up with the monarchy and the creation of the US
