i might've worded that weirdly so let me explain and give context:

i'm on the ace spectrum, but i'm not present in the community. partly because i wasn't aware demi was under the ace umbrella for the longest time, and partly because of other reasons. so i don't know what's going on in the community, what kind of problems people complain the most about amongst each other etc.

a sex-repulsed ace person told me during an argument that sex-repulsed aces always get pushed out by sex-favored aces, and that they're made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in their own communities by sex-favored aces chiming in to say "we're not all like that!!" every time someone talks about being sex-repulsed.

is that how you feel? my only experience is outside the community, so naturally i thought being sex-favored is being the "odd one out", since people around me usually assume ace = no sex until i explain. so i want to know.

hello, lovely people of reddit!

this is a very small update since my OG post got a bit too long with editorials. if you don't know what i'm talking about: a few days ago, i made a post requesting recommendations. basically asking people to share their fics that didn't get much attention, so that i could provide some.

i had a lot of comments so i didn't have time to respond to every single one individually. here's what's going on right now:

i already read the first two dozen fics, and oh my god, you guys are amazing. i'm having the time of my life here. holy shit.

for the sake of getting to as many people as possible, i am bookmarking longer fics (with a tag called "reddit_reading_list") to get to them later. i finished a 300k fic shared on my post today and it was one of the best things i've ever read, but i wasn't able to read anything else for a few days, so i thought this approach to be the best. i will read everything, i just thought maybe getting to the longer ones a bit later on makes sense. in any case, i'm taking fics two at a time: while i'm reading a longfic, i'm taking breaks every few chapters to read a shorter one. and so on.

also, through this little post, i made some amazing writer friends. you're all so damn kind and sweet, thank you so much! your well wishes and responses to my comments make me so happy. happiness seen is greater than happiness lived, sometimes. this is the case for me here.

this is to say, i will be continuing to read, kudos, and comment. i'm not scared of by the amount of comments. in fact, i'm very invigorated to read more!

(when i mentioned the post to my sister, she laughed. and i said, "why, you think i can't do it?" and she laughed again.

"oh no, i know you will do it, you're autistic. i'm just laughing because you're gonna get into so many new fandoms and i will be the one suffering your rants!" she's being affectionate, of course. she loves my rants.)

thank you for taking your time to share your beautiful fics with me. i hope you all continue to write, and continue to enjoy the art. i hope my comments can come close to doing justice to your creations.

- incomplete works/WIPs

- fic you've just wanted to share for any other reason

please share your fics with me and i'll read them, kudos them, and leave a comment! please include a note in your comment whether you want concrit or not. it's completely okay to not want any crit at all and i'll still read and enjoy your fic, just let me know so that i won't be accidentally crossing any boundaries. if you forget to leave a note, i'll just assume you don't want concrit, so i'll leave a comment accordingly.

i'm okay with dead dove, but if your fic happen to have a trigger i don't do well with, i'll let you know. don't be afraid to share!

ps. i have no problem going into the fics completely fandom blind, so no worries! that being said, i unfortunately won't be reading from harry potter or heated rivalry fandoms for personal reasons. i hope you understand!

ps 2: while i promise to read all the fics in the comments, if they're longer than 30k words, it might take me a bit! so please don't be disheartened. i aim to read in order of comment date (aka. first come first serve) but i might end up giving shorter fics a little more priority since i also read at work during my short breaks. but that doesn't mean i won't read your longfic! i love longfics!

ps 3: if you're too shy, it's also completely fine to DM your fic link to me privately! a few people already have done so, so no worries. putting your fic in the comments creates an opportunity for other commenters and lurkers to give it a chance and read it if they're interested, but i totally understand why you still wouldn't want to share it. do what's best and comfortable for you!

ps 4: small update! i've already read the first dozen fics, and i'll keep going until i've gone through every comment. please don't think you're being a burden by sharing! i ASKED for your fics and i'm very happy to receive. only thing to keep in mind is that this is gonna take me a while, that's all. as long as you're patient with me, i'm happy to read/kudos/comment on your fics!

edit: added ps 3 & 4 & added "incomplete fics" to the list of fics i want to read because several people asked if WIPs are okay. yes, they totally are! i will read anything as long as it's not AI, really!
