So I’m considering picking up Grime 2 and I’m torn between PS5 and Steam Deck.
I have what is my favorite controller in the 8bitdo Ultimate 2 for my Steam Deck, so if the performance is good would prefer to play like that.
However, if it’s not 60fps on Steam Deck, that would probably sway me to get it on PS5 instead.
Anyone played it on Steam Deck?

They shot the lights out tonight, starting at 75% midway into the 2nd quarter…
So I think I’m itching to get back into another metroidvania after finishing MIO a couple months back and the 3 that caught my eye were Solateria, Grime 2, and Constance. Figured I’d solicit some recommendations here as to which to play next.
Some things I’ll add:
- Hollow Knight, Silksong, both Ori games, and Prince of Persia are my favorite metroidvanias
- I’ve not played Grime
- I’m ambivalent to parrying - I loved Nine Sols and found it incredibly satisfying but generally I suck at parry timing
- I prefer games with a good mix of platforming, exploration, and combat rather than those that lean into one aspect heavily
- I love a good upgrade system/skill tree
