[General Warning] Royal Pop Aftermarket Strap Possible Scams
Just wanted to give people a heads up.
Right now there is a lot of crazy hype around the Royal Pop but I just wanted to express a lot of concern about what I have been seeing online (instagram etc). There are a LOT of people advertising that they are selling aftermarket housing/strap alternatives to the royal pop but practically ALL of the images are AI generated.
I know this sounds kind of obvious but for the love of god don't start purchasing stuff online until you see actual proof of concept. Hell I will personally wait until some reviewers get their hands on the actual product (both the Royal pop and the aftermarket housing). The chance that anyone has a fully tested and proven aftermarket housing model is extremely slim. Some people are trying to sell this shit for $400+ dollars with zero videos and proof that these things even work.
Lets be absolutely clear. There is ZERO chance anyone has gotten the product ahead of time. The earliest they could have gotten one is today (that is assuming they somehow survived the absurd experience or decided that purchasing on the 2ndary is worth it for their business). This means the earliest they could have started the R and D process is today. That is just for basic 3d printing prototyping. Proper construction, fitment and tolerance testing will take longer. That doesn't even get into manufacturing.
