Modded Xbox stopped reading discs
I've had a modded Xbox for about 9 years now. It's worked fine with both burned discs and normal discs the entire time I've had it. I had it unplugged for awhile (which I've done plenty of times before) and I finally hooked it back up this month so my nephew could play and it won't read any discs. I haven't tried my burned discs yet but I've tried every original Xbox game I have and they won't read. The hud screen will say "reading" when I insert a disc but after a few seconds it just says "empty" instead of "game" like it used to.
I didn't mod this myself, it was a neighbor who knew modding and modded my Xbox for me and then gave it back to me and like I said it worked fine for the last 9 years. But now it won't load discs whatsoever. So I'm looking for some help on this and please keep in mind that I literally know nothing about taking the system apart to clean things if need be so a guide with how to do it and what tools are needed would be appreciated. I'm hoping there's an easier fix where I won't have to crack open the console and mess with things and risk breaking it.
