Hi there,

the creak sound still haunts my bike. Ibtried almost anything by now. Loosen up screws, torqued them back with corresponding Nm that is printed on the screw. Brought it back to the local shop I bought it. They said it was the headset, lubed it. It was good for couple of hours, butt the creak sound came back quickly. Noticed a play on the headset, tightened it. It still creaks. I loosened almost every rear shock screw, lubed it (even some say, you don't but it creaks with or without lube). Removed main pivot tried to lube it (but here comes my technical boundary; I won't do it again without a stand because, it was hell to put it the screw back in).

I even removed the engine mounting screws, cleaned, lubed, and torqued them back in with 30 Nm as Bosch states for CX Gen 5 motors (for both alu, and carbon frame).

So, my serious questions are:

  1. Do I overreact? I mean the sound is very noticable on gravel pathways, and some off-road section – it's annoying
  2. Could it possible be that the frame is damaged somewhere I cannot see? The colour won't help to be fair to notice anything. Tried the 'knock test' did not notice anything suspicious
  3. It really comes to my mind that I might be too overweight for this bike? I don't do anything expert level with this bike. No big air, no big jumps no expert trails, or any trails per se (just some agricultural roads, and gravel pathways to the garden, so I dob't wear any protectors besides a full face mtb helmet (no motorbike 1,5 kg helmet), and I might touch the systemweight. I wanted to use the bike as fitness with some trail aspects with the aim to get fit again.

Edit: I hope the video gets uploaded, don't mind the sniffing, breathing sounds (clogged nose).
