Trying to get my buddies gen 2 and running and Injectors aren't firing. I'm 99% sure it's ECU related but wanted a second opinion before I go down to replacing the ECU again (car didn't come with the stock ECU so a replacement was ordered)
Things I have after going down a diagnostic rabbit hole:
I have spark, air, and compression. Engine will start with flammable fluids.and run for a short period of time
Basemap tune installed via accessport for the mods on the car.
Injectors were cleaned and flow tested before installation.
I'm getting fuel to the rail.
Fuel pressure sensor works and getting 60-90 on koeo. 1700-2000 upon cranking before prv bleeds it off
When I pull spark plugs and crank i don't see or smell any fuel being injected into the cylinders.
I have continuity across the harness from pcm to each injector connector and the pressure sensor.
No bent pins on the harness ( also swapped harnesses already with known working one)
All grounds checked on engine harness ( 1 hpfp, 1 passenger side motor mount area, 1 top of transmission, 2 front of transmission, 1 main ground near battery)
All fuses checked in both fuse boxes.
Swapped injector relay with another.
Things I haven't tried yet :
Verified that ECU is getting power from injector relay ( not sure which pins to backprobe). I have some of the manual pages saved but those have pin out from pcm to injectors/pressure sensor. Not from fuse box to ECU.
I don't have a noid light to do inline injector testing but when using a dmm didn't see any voltage being sent to injectors as trying to crank the car.
I can see the car giving injector pulse width information but obviously I'm not getting any fuel.
Can't compression test the engine reliable until rings are fully settled after engine refresh.
Dtc codes currently:
P0403(egr delete)
P2006, P2009(corksport intake manifold)
Dtc codes that were fixed :
P0091 ( hpfp connector broken)
P1260 . Ecu was replaced with an already programmed unit. It wouldn't crank at all originally. Had to use forscan to initialize the rke module and it cleared the code and car now cranks. Though the code will randomly pop up but is cleared upon resetting codes via accessport.
I'm leaning heavily towards ECU at this point in time. Any way to check if the injector was driver module is being activated properly.
