I drive a 2018 Toyota Corolla with 147,800 miles. I bought it used, and there is absolutely no record on Carfax of the transmission fluid ever being changed.

I'm taking it in for an oil change next week at Valvoline. Should I get a transmission fluid exchange done, or is it risky to touch the fluid for the first time at this mileage?

If I should do it, is a standard fluid exchange machine fine, or should I specifically look for a drain-and-fill?
