Appliance package extended warranty

We’re looking to buy the 5 yr extended warranty with the purchase of our kitchen appliances. I wanted to ask everyone’s experiences with buying their kitchen appliances with Best Buy and the extended warranty. I know everything does not last anymore and so an extended warranty is a priority for us, but we are debating on whether to buy the appliances from Lowe’s or Best Buy. Is there a service fee? The salesman made it sound like no, but online I see a different story..

Best Buy does have a 60 day return policy, which is nice but I don’t know much about their extended warranty nor Lowe’s. Price point is essentially the same so it’s really about service. Third party vendor vs geek squad who I’ve always seen more as an electronics repair shop… Any info will be super helpful. Thank you.

I don't want it if the 2yr warranty doesn't cover accident protection. The salesperson says it does but the paperwork reads differently.

I have an interview Friday for the Retail Sales Specialist – Meta role at Best Buy. I already did the video interview and talked with a recruiter. Now I have a virtual interview with three people (managers and maybe a Meta vendor).

A little about me:

· 20 years old, CS major
· Built my own PC (gaming background)
· Built a website for my high school
· Hosted gaming tournaments, made a small game platform
· Helped family with tech problems for years
· Fundraised about $6,000 for breast cancer through gaming tournaments
· Also used tournaments to fundraise for Hurricane Helene relief
· No formal retail experience

The role requires weekend availability and travel to Minnesota for Meta training (company covers costs).

For those who have done this interview:

· What kind of questions should I expect?
· Do they focus more on Meta product knowledge or customer service?
· Any tips for handling a panel interview with three people?

Phone was $1008 in my cart and then I saw $1200 at checkout thinking that was the total, and did a PayPal payment. Not realizing that the phone had actually gone up to $1200. Didn't know until I got my receipt saying I paid over $1400 total.

Customer service said this is a tech problem with price syncing. Their site "tech problem" is a scam to get you to pay more. It shouldn't be that hard for them to sync listing price with live price to prevent this miscommunication. I can only conclude they're hoping you'll pay more and keep the product.

Except I won't. I'm returning the phone for a full refund and never shopping at your online store again. Yes it was my fault for not double checking the total checkout price, but when the list price was $1000 and people who online shop are used to making quick transactions, it's understandable. I'm also reporting you to the Better Business Bureau. Goodbye!

I’m a fairly new hire. Like the title says, I don’t have any open availability at all, and I was scheduled for two monthly trainings which I missed, both on Sundays. I spoke to a floor manager, not the GM yet, (hopefully today) but he said I’ll be getting a no call no show for both days. Is there any way I can contest the no call no shows, and is there any fair labor laws/SOP that protect me in this scenario?

I ordered an Apple Watch for my wife’s bday and the box came empty. That’s fine, not Best Buy’s fault. They immediately ship me a new one set to arrive the next day (Thursday) for free. This then gets delayed and expected to arrive Saturday-Tuesday. Tuesday night comes and it’s still being verified. Customer support says they can’t do anything about it.

So I go to pick it up instead. And it takes all day to verify. They said it would take til end of day. So frustrating, I do not want to drive all the way back to Best Buy again.

So I see there’s an option to reship it for the next day. Probably a big mistake but I didn’t feel like driving again. Today is the next day and it’s still “packing” and customer service says it won’t get to me today. What the hell? Why does it offer one day shipping and can’t even get it verified and packed?

I have two air conditioners that are the same model but I bought them a year apart. I don't remember which one I bought first though and one of them has started acting up. I still have the geek squad warranty for one of them but I don't know which one it is. On the website it just list the SKU and Model number of the item covered by the plan.

Does anyone know if the plans are linked to the serial number because Best Buy is kind of far from me and it will be a hassle to take down the AC and take it there to be told it is the wrong one.

Wife is mad at me cause I bought the xbox bundle that came with Forza 6 and the forza controller, controller hasn't shipped yet, total was like $700 which is why I bought it... cheap af for an xbox right now, but I gotta return it cause she angry af.

I know the policy for games is exchange only once opened, but because it came in a bundle... how does this work?

I have some pc gaming headphones with the plana and need to bring them back for having issues connecting. The headphones I want instead aren't in at the store. Anyone know how I would go about getting them using the plan funds? Would I order the product online and do a pickup and somehow get a refund for the price of the broken headphones?

I got a company gift card given to me for Best Buy, so I went and bought Forza 6 pre-order, and explain why it's been 14 hours, and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY DIGITAL CODE!!??? Like, at this point I could've bought it on Steam, but I can't refund the damn game because I bought it on a gift card like omg!

After multiple tries and finally getting a solid answer. Best Buy isn’t at fault fully honestly for not releasing the digital code for Forza 6. Playground games is lowkey selling cause I was told the codes haven’t been sent to distribution even in other platforms. Also, stating that they are having “backend data issues” basically saying they haven’t received the codes to be sent out and don’t know when they will receive them…

I received an expensive package in the mail today. I didn’t order this and don’t have a Best Buy account. I know there is a scam going around called brushing, but I received this order directly from Best Buy. I called and they said they had the order from a business account and the only info they could give was a generic “Ken Smith” name. I did receive an email from FedEx about the shipment but haven’t contacted them yet.

I wasn’t charged for it and Experian report is clean.

Not sure what risk there is here. The only thought I had was someone was possibly planning on coming to the house to grab it. The address isn’t my legal address as I recently moved and only a few applications/websites I regularly use have it. Best Buy is not one of them.

Risks?? Thoughts??

I go to best buy all the time and tbh it feels like a 2nd home to be, regardless of your role there, I'd love to know experiences!
