BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY CANT MAKE A FUNCTIONAL WEBSITE

I've never, and I mean NEVER seen such a high value company offer such a disgustingly unoptimized, slow, unresponsive and completely horse shxit website.

It's been like this for years. Want to use it on your phone? Absolutely forget about it. You type in "Laptop" to the search bar, click laptops, wait legitimately 2 whole goddamn minutes, just to load into fricking washing machines?!?.

Fix ur dog water site, please.

Dear any and all bestbuy employees

(or ex employees)

I'm thinking of applying to bestbuy for a part time job and am wondering what the different positions do?

Like obviously a retail associate works the floor and stuff and helps customers but what about the "geek squad agent"

What would I be doing if I ended up getting this position would I be actually fixing tech? Or like just diagnostic stuff like just curious on what would be going down

Bestbuy Visa CC Apple Pay Support coming soon?

I don’t know if this has always been there or is just something I just noticed but there is now a button to add the My Best Buy Visa CC to Apple Wallet or I could be mistaken. I’m not sure about this only because when I press it, it opens a workflow to add a new cc to Apple Pay instead of directly adding it. I also tried to do it with the physical one directly and it doesn’t work. Anyway, my question is: has this always been there and I just noticed it? And if so, I’m sorry if someone else already posted about it. Nothing came up when I searched for this specifically.

Ordered Bravia 8 II

Delivery and installation were scheduled for today. Neither happened. When I called, the agent said they don’t have a driver available and wanted to push it to next week. I needed it by tomorrow, so I asked if that was doable — they said no, and told me to just cancel the order instead. So I did. Anyone know how long the refund usually takes to process? Was expecting better service tbh.

damaged opinion ?

got this at 5pm today but by the time i got home and set it up it was 7:30 so i couldn’t return, they don’t open till 10 tomorrow. it’s basically the whole screen, id understand it if was the sides due to mounting errors but the whole screen ? i had it face up the whole car ride home and only set it face down on the bet to put mounting bases.should i ask for an exchange or would a refund maybe be easier

update: i had to work so my mom and uncle went this morning, they said they were pretty stand off ish and didn’t want to budge saying there were finger prints on the tv and what so ever, but after some extensive “communication?” my uncle explained how the damage was basically on the whole screen top to bottom side to side besides the center. They even tried to argue that the top was damaged because of how I opened the box, saying i probably pulled it out from the top and then mounted from the sides to damage it that much(I ripped the sides to open the box flat with the tv standing, never pulled it out since i know they’re delicate). After about 20-30 minutes they were able to swap it out but they basically forced them to buy the insurance for $160. Still being a $700 tv i was pretty nervous. I’ll just go swap it for a new one in a year, make the most of my money f best buy.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but thank you all for being human beings

So I had a silly problem with a recent purchase, which was not solvable online, and the "Virtual Assistant" was utterly clueless about, and the "live chat" agent thing just spun out forver when I asked for a person. Went into my local Best Buy store and it was fixed in minutes.

It was my mistake that caused the problem, and it wasn't an easy or simple thing to solve, but fortunately there was a competent human being hanging out around the register who heard what was up, took it in hand, and after not too long found a workaround that worked.

I just want to say, I am sure you all (all Best Buy brick and mortar staff) are by and large paid less than you deserve, but every time I've gone into the store near me it is fully staffed with people who are actually decent and helpful. And there are reasons we need people to do things that are beyond the capability of some stupid AI to solve.

It's because of experiences like this with Best Buy staff --- this isn't the first --- that I always buy stuff from my store here if its something they carry, regardless if there is a better price somewhere else online.

Anyway, happy fourth. To all of you stuck at work on this holiday, what you do is good, and necessary, and it's good we have you to do it. I'm sure you don't hear that nearly enough. Thank you for being you.

Fourth of July LG washer/dryer backordered

So I recently bought a house and needed a washer/dryer before I move in. Best Buy had a deal for an LG washer/dryer combo that seemed pretty good and I generally like LG appliances so I went ahead and bought it.

What I didn't realize is that the dryer is BACKORDERED and I won't get it until possibly October (??? this is what the customer service rep indicated over the phone).

There was no indication of that the dryer was on backorder when I pressed purchase. And this item was in ALL of their promotional materials for their Fourth of July sale. Is this a common thing that Best buy does during their sales? Seems really shitty that they're hawking something that they know they can't get to you immediately. I have also never bought a washer/dryer outright before so maybe this is common.

Warning for Best Buy TV warranty

Hey all. I just want to let everyone know how the Best Buy extended warranty works for anyone purchasing it for a TV. I’ve been a Best Buy total member for a few years now and it’s been useful. I had some headphones that broke and they replaced them no questions asked. Great. I purchased a 65” Sony TV in 2025. Naturally I got the extended warranty. Well about a month a go it stopped working. Red light of death or whatever it’s called. No troubles. I’ll take it to Best Buy and have them replace it. Nope. Anything over 45” has to be repaired by geek squad. Not the geek squad at the store. Some other geek squad. Well I wasn’t stoked. But scheduled it anyhow. They said 2 weeks. It was 3 weeks. I was moving across the country the next day. I told them that. Well they cancelled. Called me the day of. And said bummer. Ok. Move to metro Detroit Best Buy is everywhere. Call them to schedule again. Well no geek squad service in your area. Ok. So now what? We don’t know. Maybe we’ll call you back. It’s been a month and half and I’m out an expensive TV. If you’re buying a TV over 45” stay away. It’s a scam. I’ve been on the phone with probably 15 people from various Best Buy call centers and nobody can help me. I’ll never buy a TV from them again. Costco gets all my business moving forward.

Geek Squad is an absolute nightmare!!

I recently moved with my family to Florida and we had to purchase a new washer and dryer. Bestbuy had a good deal on a set from GE so we ordered them on June 27th. The earliest available date they had to install the units was yesterday, July 3rd.

The delivery truck arrives and the guys unloading the dryer were having it at each other, yelling the shit out of their bodies and my kids were watching them fighting (we ended up moving them to the backyard). They come, install the dryer and then tell me they did not bring the washing machine. I get a call from Bestbuy customer service saying they could come today (July 4th) and now I was told the earliest date they have available is July 10th.

Now I am home with my wife, 2 kids and have no way to do our laundry because of someone else’s incompetence and Bestbuy’s inability to fulfill their order. This is the first and last time I use their service or purchase anything from this company.

Bought this a while back, this was a customer return. Brand spanking new, just in openbox condition.

Does best buy sell extended warranty for most items? whats it like to replace an item?

Specifically, Im an owner of an Elite Series 2 xbox controller. I love this controller, however this controller just has an immense amount of design flaws that basically end up making the controller end up annoyingly broken with certain buttons not working or stick drift. The manufacturers warranty requires you to send your item in, and they will send you a refurbished one back. the whole process takes about 1-2 weeks and you are left without a controller. for this reason I was thinking about purchasing a new one at best buy, and hopefully purchased a warranty from them. I was hoping that this warranty would simply allow me to return the item in the future if it were to break again. could any employees explain how it works to me?

Is an opened Portable AC returnable?

Long story short, AC went out, needs to be replaced.

Bought a 10K BTU portable ac to cool downstairs. Every-time I plug it in, it flips the breaker.

I can’t put it in the box. I also had to cut down the extender piece to fit into the window.

Is it returnable?

Will there be even more discounts on oled TVs on holiday days preferably July 4th?

I know there’s a 4 of July sale going on but I was wondering if there was any more discount during the days of the actual holiday and after the holiday ends does the sale still stay?

Covered Under Total Protection?

Sorry for the potato quality. Hard to capture. In essence I have a 15 month old Samsung 4K TV and I have the protection plan. On my TV it has grey horizontal lines that exist on my Xbox and Chromecast. I read and saw a Samsung built in test and the issue is also present on that test.

It’s 3 separate horizontal lines that display black ok but other colors it washes out the image and has a hint of grey.

I chatted with bestbuy and they said I needed to pay $79 and a technician will come out and verify and it may or may not be covered. If it’s not covered, I would still be on the hook for $79.

So I wanted to ask before I submit this claim, would it be covered? There is absolutely 0 physical damage.

Thanks!

Does BB ask the customer to leave a tip on the checkout?

I was at Best Buy recently getting the run around by an employee promising to help me get a cell phone replacement only to try to convince me to buy a brand new $1000 phone. While ringing up a small item... a message popped up on the screen asking for a tip for her for ringing up my order.

Is this the norm now????

Buying an open box laptop online

Is it smart to buy an open box laptop in excellent condition online? Let’s say it comes with a cracked screen from shipping, would best buy accept a replacement or return if I record opening it?

Arbitration or Small Claims Court?

I purchased Apple watches and they canceled my order on a business account, and I used $1000 woth of physical gift crds on the order...they still have no refunded me and it someone from corporate finally called me and said I wont be getting the funds back with no explanation other than "its final". My guess is they suspect fraud or something....even though I have receipts for those gift crds . Has anyone seen this before and what's the next process? Im out $1000 now.

Was given the wrong model number after ordering pick up in store

I ordered a cyberpower UPS model number gx1500u fc and picked it up shortly before closing. The service person I dealt with had a difficult time finding my order, having to call someone else. She eventually came out with a cyberpower UPS, and handed it to me. I asked for a receipt, and she said it would be emailed. I have received the receipt, but upon getting the unit home and getting it hooked up and charging, I noticed that it was the wrong model. I was given the LX1500gu3, an inferior model in many ways that will not work for my purpose.

The item is on sale and cannot be shipped. To err on caution I’ve put in another order for a different Best Buy to hold, but I’m worried they are going to give me problems. The units look identical, so I can understand how the error happened.

What are the chances Best Buy is going to give me the run around here? Admittedly I haven’t ordered anything with them before.
