Has anyone had any luck recovering an account after losing access to the email used to log in? Has Niantic chat ever answered?
I lost access to the email I used to create my Pokémon Go account, because I’m a moron and had forgotten to update it when that email service changed over. When I try to log in it requires verification through that email, which of course, I can’t do, regardless of having all the other correct login information and same phone number.
I have tried a couple times now to go through Niantic chat support. I answered all the chat bot’s questions, but then I just sit there with dead air. It says they’re reviewing the information and to stay on the chat, but it’s just crickets after that, even waiting for hours.
I’ve been playing since 2016 and would be heartbroken to lose this account. I have information and old screenshots that can help prove it’s really my account. I just can’t seem to get the case to move past the chat bot. Has anyone had a similar experience, or has any advice? Is there a different route I can take to get in touch with someone who could help at the company?
