DPAD issues after RETROGLOW + IPS Mod

So I just installed a funnyplaying IPS M2 screen as well as a Retroglow mod + a clicky shoulder buttons mod. The screen, shoulders, and glow works perfectly as do the majority of the buttons. The only issue is the right dpad, down on the dpad, and VERY slightly the b button seem to be dropping inputs or not registering all together.

I’ve tried loosening the motherboard and shell screws but the problem persists.

I’ve tried cleaning the contacts with 91% isopropyl—no change.

I suspect a few potential causes:

  1. RESISTOR: During the modding process, I had to feed the RGB bridge underneath a resistor. The resistor accidentally snapped so I resoldered it. Could that be the cause?

  2. FLUX RESIDUE: no matter how much I scrub, there’s still some sticky flux on the RGB ribbons. Is it maybe sticking the membrane on the motherboard or?

Any ideas? It’s almost a perfect gba/very proud for my first time installing the glow and it working but frustrated with the button situation so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!
