Went with basic old Funnyplaying Shells and an ITA Screen. Was worried about why it was flickering at first until I read up on having to adjust the potentiometer on the back! Super fun and easy repair on a $10 Gameboy I found. Would absolutely do it again

I got a new motherboard and replaced my broken one. The GBA turned on but the screen was black, assuming cause I didn’t connect the IPs screen ribbon cable correctly. I reconnected it and now the gba power light is flickering green and not coming on at all. I am using alkaline batteries, should I try lithium batteries? Could that be the reason why it isn’t working?
