I have been modding iPods for about a year with success, so bit the bullet and ordered an original GBA to try my hand at modding one. What are your go to mods that won't break the bank? Backlit screen and I assume usbc charging are a must?
Any other advice, pointers or key watch outs when it comes to working on it would be great too!
Previously had my 7th Gen on a Bose Sounddock on the same dining area windowsill as the Echo Dot, one for music and the other for DAB.
Streamlined down to:
- Apple Universal Dock (managed to get off Vinted for £40 basically new)
- Avantree SoundJet R1 bluetooth adapter on line out
- Echo Dot on PlusAcc battery base, used for portability so we can have DAB between kitchen, diner and patio
- USBc charger out of battery base to bluetooth adapter to keep it always charged/on
It works like a dream flicking between radio and the bluetooth connection for iPod library, can't believe it's taken me this long to think of it!
Hi gang, have been trying for the last few hours to update the firmware on a Nano 7th gen (currently 1.0.2) but it downloads then when it tries to install it my mac throws an error 'firmware is not compatible', any ideas on how to get around this? I have searched the sub and already tried removing software update ipws files for a fresh download and didn't work, it is an older 7th gen so trying to get it on 1.0.4

I mod and sell iPods on my profile and put a lot of thought and knowledge in to my descriptions to make them as informative as possible. Stumbled across a seller tonight who has copy and pasted my descriptions and put them on thier own items! Is there anything I can do about this? I imagine not given the wild West that is Vinted, but didn't know if anyone has experienced something similar

Previously had the GBA-900UU but it was just far too chunky for my wrist/arm, so after a tonne more research have picked up this beauty (GBD-200-9ER), already love it after a few hours!
Have supplied images of Mac and PC error upon reformat, it was even described as 128GB when it shows as under 8GB. Why am I expected to pay postage back even though I have tried to resolve and clearly item is faulty! Mad platform this...
I am far from an audiophile, but should I listen to music without an EQ set so as the artist intended, or change the EQ to suit the genre or what? bit confused by the whole thing and as I listen on shuffle I don't want to have to change the EQ every other track. Experience and advice welcome!

3rd or 4th mod i have done for hobby/small profit to pay off my AliExpress bills haha! For sale on Vinted UK and eBay UK (hence the wrappers still being on) if anyone is interested...
Am I being completely dense, or instead of installing a uDual or Quad, could I put a micro SD card in its SD adapter and use a Solo? Or does it have to use a standard SD card? Thanks guys!
