I’ve been waiting on this for nearly 5 years. Song starts @ 2:57. Why can’t i have this? This is the izaya i know, nobodies better than this izaya. But i can’t have it? Something has to change, what can we do to get this? Am i the only one who’s heard this? I have to wait months to listen to this snippet again because it causes pain not having this released, agony.
I’ve been wanting this for a while and just got it in the mail an hour ago, I had no idea what to expect but from the reviews I’ve heard i knew that i had to either love it or kinda like it. And i LOVE IT. It opens up with the blast of citrus that everyone speaks of and the sharpness of it is also there which i believe to be the obvious Vetiver note in this fragrance, yes it does have that bug spray vibe to it but that disappears after 20-30min. It drys down and then comes that metallic musk you always hear about it, but this musk is so different but signature to Galtieri. This musk reminds me of what i think of when having the perfect fragrance blending with your natural pheromones. Something that i envisioned when getting into fragrances and finding that “signature scent”, but not being able to label with words. The scent that I’d give off wearing something fresh but unique to my skin chemistry , a clean musk shaped by skin chemistry in a bottle. My abstraction has come to life. The metallic Vetiver/citrus mix and creamy sandalwood musk accord is what you get on the dry-down and it’s quite linear after that but NOT boring. I also have seen a lot of people saying this batch, 08256, has performance issues. I don’t think there has been any reformulation, we just have to remember that this fragrance released in 2014 and the hype in the fragrance space started to grow nearly a decade after so most batches have had plenty of time to macerate. I don’t know who i could recommend this to because not all ‘freshies’ will enjoy this but not all musky/woody fans would either, it’s very unique to its own but what I can say for those fans is to at least sample to try before blind buying like i did. 9.6/10 fragrance for me.
