What are we playing with these high polling rate controllers?

Mostly title, just curious. I just ordered a Gamesir G7 8k for my PC, not specifically because it's 8k, but because I like my G7 Pro for my Xbox and I'm tired of moving it back and forth, time to get a dedicated one for the PC.

But it got me curious, where do people feel the 8k is necessary? I mostly play Battlefield, Forza and Diablo, and while I'm sure the 8k is awesome, I don't really feel like any of those are "competitive" to the point an increase in polling rate is going to make any sort of major difference. Or am I wrong, and it actually does?

While I bought the Gamesir, I'm more asking as a general statement for higher polling rates, not specifically just the Gamesir.

Found a 3DS XL and Pokemon X

Basically, title. I was going through a box of old Nintendo stuff in our closet, the old Gameboy, Gameboy Color, DS, etc. were all there.

What I didn't know I had was a 3DS XL, still in the box, along with a copy of Pokemon X. The seal on the box was broken, so I opened it at some point, but there's no sign of use, not a fingerprint on it.

I don't remember when I got it, or what stopped me from using it, but I'm going to be playing some Pokemon X in the near future!

Figured I'd share, was fun to find.
