I don’t even know why I’m making this post. I have no one to talk to. I think my almost 3 year relationship is over. My girlfriend doesn’t seem like she likes me at all anymore. I’ve played my part in the relationship not working. I don’t feel like I have any family. I’ve been struggling with work. My mental health is probably the lowest it’s ever been and I’ve been through some pretty rough times. I’ve been having some really bad thoughts. Anyone have any advice on getting through tough periods?

So, I got into an argument with my girlfriend tonight. She was asking about why gasoline prices are high right now. She was out to dinner with some rich guy that’s in the oil refinery business and he was challenging my explanation. He was saying there are regional refinery factors and the Straight of Hormuz disruption doesn’t have much to do with this.
I’m an economics major. I explained to her that 95% of the reason gasoline prices have increased in our state and the rest of the country is because of the supply disruption with the Straight of Hormuz. The disruption and risk of supply issues has caused the price of crude oil to increase globally. Therefore, it is more expensive to refine oil into gasoline.
I understand there can be regional refinery issues that affect gasoline prices, but the vast majority of the reason prices are higher is because of the price of a barrel of crude.
Can someone help me out here. Am I wrong?
