help finding a replacement for AI music

Hey folks,

I discovered a cool chill playlist on YouTube, and I really vibed with it. But turns out it is AI, which was kind of a bummer.

So I'm hoping to find some actual artists with a similar vibe/sound. The YouTube channel is Japanese Chill Lounge, and it was mostly female vocals over lofi jazzy beats mixed with a little bit of chill rap for good measure.

I tried looking up some stuff and found a few artists that kinda have the vibe I'm going for.

I found Iri, and she seems pretty cool, and Punipunidenki seems cool too. But I'd love to hear some other recommendations as well.

Also, forgive my ignorance; I'm pretty new to Japanese music, so I have no idea what I'm looking for, haha.

Thanks for the help!

Those cows on Garfield

Hey Folks,

I was hoping someone could help me get in contact with whoever owns the cows at the beginning of Garfield right after new shopping centers and Chick filla.

My wife and I drive passed them everyday while driving for work and she loves seeing them. Her birthday is at the end of the month and I thought it would be cool to see if we can meet the cows. I know it sounds kinda silly, but she will totally love it.

But im not sure who owns them so I dont know who to ask. If anyone knows anything that would be super cool.

Thanks!

Am I the only one

Hey Folks,

I finally finished GOY, and I have some thoughts.

So, in general, I enjoyed the game. But I can't help but compare it to the first one, and it just...doesn't capture the same magic as GOT, and I'm not sure why. I know there is plenty of toxicity around the game regarding Atsu, but I thought she was great. So she wasn't the problem. But like, I didn't connect with anything else in the game.

I thought the world was worse than GOT. There are bright spots for sure, but overall Ezo felt uglier and less enjoyable to travel in than Tsushima. This game felt too...brown? When playing GOT, I couldn't stop myself from stopping and taking pics in photo mode. But I only took a small handful in this one.

I didn't enjoy the multiple weapons aspect either, unfortunately. It felt way more skillful to switch stances than full on switching weapons. I know functionally, it's basically the same, but for some reason, the stance thing seemed more... skillful warrior, and pulling out weapons felt more like cheating, haha. I know that sounds kinda dumb, but it's how I feel. Also, a super small nitpick, but it's a pet peeve of mine: where does Atsu hold all those weapons when she isn't using them?

The story was...fine. It definitely felt more generic to me. I also think it takes way too long for the game to make us care about Atsu. The way the game kinda throws you into the story is a little jarring. Like, why should I care about her revenge story if I have nothing to connect to? I think about Assassin's Creed 2. When I first played AC2 back in the day, we got to spend, like, an hour with Ezio before his family was killed. It gave us a chance to connect with him and his family. So when he is eventually betrayed, I cared. I was angry, right there with Ezio. But here, I didn't get too much of a chance to truly connect with the characters before they were ripped away.

I would say I didn't really feel connected to the characters until...Chapter two? If you know, you know, but I want to avoid spoilers.

I would say this also extends to the Yotei Six in general as well. We didn't get enough of them to truly hate them and feel the anger Atsu had toward them. They were just generic bad guys who had a hand in killing Atsu's family...thus, REVENGE!

It's so annoying, because I absolutely adored GOT. It was basically the whole reason I bought a PS5 to begin with. And I wanted to love GOY the same. I was pumped when the game was announced and even got the game on release.

But I want to reiterate, I didn't hate the game by any means. GOT was a 10/10 for me, whereas this game was like...only an 8/10.

Am I the only one who didn't connect with this one as much despite wanting to?
