I think these kinds of fans have officially lost the plot.
And why do they keep mixing up the books and the show? They’re two separate stories and should be treated as such.

I think I’ve seen this film before and I didn’t like the ending.
The first pic was from when Rhaenyra hadn’t even taken King’s Landing yet, so Helaena and Alicent still thought they were free to leave. The second was after Helaena had been confined to her mother’s chambers, only allowed outside for an hour a day and forbidden from seeing her daughter. Those are two completely different situations.
Giving highborn hostages basic rooms and yard time isn't "saintly generosity", it’s literally the bare minimum of medieval politics. You don't get a medal for letting a prisoner take a walk. Second, expecting Helaena to be nice to Rhaenyra is wild when Rhaenyra’s husband literally sent assassins to decapitate Helaena’s toddler son in front of her. A nice room doesn't cover up the fact that your faction murdered her baby. Also, bringing up Aegon’s crimes is a massive goalpost shift. Aegon being a trash husband and an awful person doesn't make Rhaenyra a saint by comparison. Helaena didn't choose to marry Aegon, she didn't plot the green coup, and she never cared about the throne. Calling her a "traitor" when she wanted no part in this war makes zero sense.
Edit: Lol, I forgot the “not” in the title 😭 These types of posts just make me mad lol.
Wasn’t it explicitly mentioned that they only began sleeping separately after the events of Blood and Cheese? And considering that sharing chambers wasn’t exactly common among royal couples of that era, wouldn’t that actually suggest there was some level of closeness between them before everything fell apart?
