Hey there. I'm taking a shot at growing tobacco this season. Tomorrow will be day 10 of germination. So far, I've got a decent germination rate, and am confident I'll hit what I was aiming for. I do have a few questions though...
I have read that it's best to separate early to avoid roots getting tangled with one another. These are rather tiny seedlings, should I separate now, or let them get a bit larger to survive transplant shock?
Another question that I have is which medium would be best to transplant into? I germinated in coco coir, and I have the following on hand to transplant: coco coir, fox farm ocean forest, promix hp, fox farm coco loco and miracle grow potting soil. If inert media is best, I do have a number of nutrients to use, including masterblend, fox farm trio etc.
I'm also curious if anyone has seen any benefit to using mycorrhizal fungi during the transplant?
Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I take the right steps and don't fuck anything up.
