My favorite and worst car ever
This car has been my baby for 3 years now and for 3 years now I have loved how smooth it drives how cool it looks, and how easy it felt to get used to it. But now that I’ve had it for some time i got some majors complaints and have open a case to get a buy back on it. First off if your getting and EV PLEASE CHECK THAT YOU ARE IN A PLACE WITH MULTIPLE CHARGERS THAT FAST CHARGE YOUR CAR, if you do not have a charge infrastructure in your area which alot of places don’t your screwed. The dealer (I was 18) told me that this would eventually be able to charge on Tesla superchargers and that the chargepoint chargers and electrify America charges would be easy to access. My first year having it was awful because i drove 25-36 mins out to find one and then there was a chance it wouldn’t work and I had no way to access a ev charger on my campus so I was completely and utterly screwed. Luckily my school was only 40 mins away from my home so i had to commute. After i moved back the ICCU blew a fuse multiple times. I have replaced the car battery over 4 times and Hyundai and the service center(also Hyundai) refused to replace the ICCU and just kept giving me new batteries. On top of that I live in upstate New York meaning when it snows it snows and it gets cold as shit so the battery drops. To many issues with the car to keep it but god damn was it fun. I’ve had plenty of great drives and it has had it’s charm but alas I’ll probably never get a EV again if I do it would be a tesla because the area I live has multiple superchargers, and no the old superchargers do not work even with the adapter for ccs to nacs. I loved this car but it just didn’t love me back also Hyundai sucks all their cars are essentially temu junk. My family has a auto salvage yard and we get so many Hyundais just because they stopped working even before 100k miles. These cars look so clean but have so many technical issues you might as well get a different car. Next up is definitely a lexus but honestly all cars kinda suck. If I do get another ev maybe a tesla but they got rid of the model S so probably not. Goodbye my sweet car thank you for keeping me safe and hyundai you suck for making such a cool unusable car.
