The jam has a lovely colour and nice taste, but it came out runny. In a way that's a good thing, as I can also use it as a sauce for ice cream.

Week 19: Tricolor - Tricolor spaghetti

Green: pasta with pea and ricotta sauce.

Red: pasta with tomato onion sauce.

Yellow: roasted spaghetti squash with parmesan.

This is a layered sponge cake with meringue and almonds baked on top of it, filled with a mixture of custard and whipped cream.This cake is also known as Verdens Beste, which mean the world's best, and it is indeed a delicious cake! I used this recipe, which says the cake serves 12 to 15 people. I made half the recipe and it turned out so good that my boyfriend and I finished it ourselves in just a few days!

Norway has been on my travel bucket list for years, mostly because of its beautiful nature. This cake give me one more reason to go.

Fresh egg noodles in a Gruyère cheese sauce served with fried onions and chives. This feels like winter comfort food, but I still enjoyed it on this warm spring day.

I don't have a spätzle maker, so I used the steamer basket of my rice cooker to make the spätzle and this worked really well.
