I started posting myself on social media two weeks ago and caught the attention of this super sweet girl. Of course, she wasn't the first girl who tried to slide into my DMs, but she was the only one who was fine with us living so far apart and wanted to get to know me better and maybe try something long-distance. We've been talking for a week straight so far, but I really want to correct this before things get too deep.
During the first day of us getting to know each other, she asked me where I lived, and me not thinking anything would come of it because she surely wouldn't want a long distance relationship anyway, told her a completely different state.
Now, the state I told her isn't random, and I am actually from there, but I don't live there. Two days ago we started talking about possibly visiting each other sometime soon. I'm hoping things go well with her because I'm really starting to like her more and more.
How should I bring this up to her? I know it was a messed up thing to do, but I wasn't expecting her to actually be interested in me after learning about the distance between us, and I lowkey didn't feel comfortable telling her where I lived at the time.
