Repotting Questions
I’ve had FLF for about a year now and never worried much about it until it started dropping leaves recently; the lower leafs having dark brown spots closer to the center.
I try to water sparsely to avoid overwatering or root rot but if noticed the top soil has been looking very compact and poor draining I imagine. FIRST TIME REPOTTING A FLF‼️
If I use miracle grow potting mix because that’s what I have will it be fine if I add more perlite and orchid bark?
If the root ball/soil seems too compact or signs of issues when transferring should i break it and repot it with completely new soil?
I know a lot of people repot with the root ball intact to avoid sending the plant into a more severe shock but if there are issues like root rot they will break it up and repot entirely.
- What are some cases I’d have to repot it entirely?
