Loose bracket after 2 weeks + Dental Costs.
Hi everyone, I just want to ask for some advice, especially from dentists or people with braces experience.
I recently had braces installed and I’ve been trying my best to follow all instructions carefully (avoiding hard food, being mindful when eating, etc.). However, after about 2 weeks, one of my brackets became loose.
My dentist mentioned na baka naka-kagat ako ng hard food, but I’m quite sure I was careful naman, so I just want to understand if normal ba na nangyayari pa rin ‘to even if sumusunod ka sa instructions.
May concern din po ako sa isang tooth na may cavity/raw enamel underneath the bracket, and I was informed na baka kailangan ng additional procedures. Estimated costs are:
•Cementation: around ₱2k
•Fillings: around ₱4k
•Monthly adjustments: around ₱1.5k
I understand po na dental treatment can be complex, so I just want to ask:
Is it normal for brackets to loosen after about 2 weeks even if careful eating?
Usually ba separate charges ang re-cementation and adjustments?
Okay lang ba mag-ask ng clearer breakdown ng costs or possible payment options?
I’m still a student and I’m just trying to manage everything properly, so I would really appreciate any advice or insights. Medyo nahihiya lang po ako mag-follow up kay Doc kasi baka mali yung dating ko kanina. I just want to make sure I understand everything clearly and manage my budget properly, since allowance and sideline savings ko po yung ginagamit ko.
