Little discussion I thought of because the rays have been acting weird for/to me.
I’m a rays fan and didn’t do any favoritism towards a team while being drafted but got picked #1 overall by the rays. My rookie year they felt like they were selling. I was called up around game 100. Aranda was traded. And they had less than 40 wins. I already hated the IRL loss of glassnow, B. Lowe, J. Lowe, and mostly Arozarena.
Now in my 2nd season (first full) I’m balling out and we’re having a 1st place AL east season. Arozarena is back, J. Lowe is back. And Aranda is back (I checked transactions and relationships so I know aranda wasn’t just on rehab or anything)
Has anyone else seen weird acquisitions based on performance? Maybe mine weren’t that weird because I’m not talking judge or ohtani coming to the rays but we did pick up Zac Gallen right before the dead line and he’s cruising at the moment
