[Online][5e 2014 or 2024][Sunday 4pm CST][potentially long term] One piece inspired pirate campaign
Ahoy Nakamas, swashbucklers and mateys alike!
I come to you today with a pitch I'm very excited to present

The Story begins in the town of cinnamon, a farming village located in the Northern sea, a cozy and somewhat isolated villa, with long and thick cinammon trees, joyful inhabitants, and a few pubs scattered about to rejoice in
For one reason or another you have all ended up in this town, wether it is for work, for adventure, or simply to visit, one thing you all share in common, a longing for the freedom of the sea, and a dream youd like to see fulfilled
For an agreed upon reason, you have all happened to run in with eachother, wether thanks to previous bonds, or simply by coincidence, you've decided to form a party of folks, soon to be a pirate crew
But first things first, the matter of the vessel, wether through a careful planned out robbery misison, a loud and dumb explosive heist, or simply through legitimate equitable means, your first quest is to acquire a boat!
Then, being chased off or sent off from the island, the whole of the northern sea would be open to you to plunder, explore, cherish, and view
Ive thought of this world as one not too different from one piece's but with some key changes
The red line for example is no longer a series of mountains. Instead being the body of a great serpent...Jörmungandr! The serpent which engulfs the earth with its length
Dividing the world into two, however, due to a shift by jormun himself, he has shifted from going north to south, to now facing the sun set to the west
Leaving behind a sunken sea, with a massive drop into it, called the "Grand rift" dividing the world into 4 seas!
This was many centuries ago now, allowing for populations of people to move in to the newfound islands
The game will mainly have a focus of exploration + roleplay, with combat as a tasty side to have along with them!
It is said that along this rift at the very end of it, a treasure, unlike any seen before lies, The one piece!

# About the DM
Im a very newish DM, having been a player for a few months worth, but having run some games before. Still, I am a bit inexperienced with 2014 rules, and basically know very little about 2024
I think I compensate with a hearty fun loving spirit, and passion for the game, as well as a willingness and want to learn
Rule of cool might be king, but rule of funny is god in games for me, if something tickles me i cannot resist, i love to laugh, thunderously so, and dnd has got me wheezing on many occasions

\-Usage of Lines, Veils, and X cards for safety
\-LGBTQ+ Friendly
\-Very communicative and chatty
\-No bigots allowed or wanted
\-Content warnings, themes alike one piece, Governmental conspiracies/corruption, class divide, some scandalous/Seductive elements but nothing explicit, etc.
\-Tone is high fantasy with stakes meant to challenge you but not break you, fun times, but serious times as well
# Expectations for players
Familiarity with one piece is to be expected, but its not necessary to have seen/read everything! I myself am barely getting to summit war
Be communicative! I really dislike long prolongued silences and id rather hear more questions than grasshopper chirps
This goes for the inevitable discord server as well, more than just a quiet, serious, straight to the point, and all business group, im looking for a grouo of people who's happy to chat and get to make something worthwhile
