Two days later...
I'm... genuinely astonished with myself. I'm someone who's absolutely gobshite when it comes to art like drawing, painting, and such. And yet, just yesterday, I finished painting the first Necron mini I ever bought: Imotekh.

I'm... genuinely astonished with myself. I'm someone who's absolutely gobshite when it comes to art like drawing, painting, and such. And yet, just yesterday, I finished painting the first Necron mini I ever bought: Imotekh.
First off, salutations, I'm new to this Subreddit.
Secondly, I figured that it would only be prudent if I shared some examples of my first time painting miniatures. Surprise surprise, they just so happen to be Necrons of the Sautekh Dynasty.
I'm using a metallic slapchop method that a lovely bloke in Torino's Warhammer shop taught me, albeit somewhat simplified since I'm not using Leadbelcher followed by a brighter metal; I'm only using Necron Compound.
Most of these 'Crons in the photos aren't shaded yet, but basically what I've been doing for that is washing them with Nuln Oil, a classic.
For the bronze sections (such as Imotekh's shoulderpads), I've been using Guilliman Flesh contrast since it's the closest I could get to the box art. As for glows... white base, covered in Tesseract Glow.
How have I been doing so far for a first-timer?
