How to upcycle used disposable vapes to make rechargeable led lights
So as the title says I'm trying to figure out how to use our left over disposable vapes for other things. Specifically I'd like to keep the rechargeable aspect and add led lights or a very small motor. What I'm trying to do is make light up Disney ears for my fiancee. I have some experience with soldering and batteries from RC cars but my knowledge with circuit boards is little to none. My idea was to remove the heating coil wires and add a new circuit from the battery with a switch to turn on the LEDs so I can leave the charging port alone and keep it functional. Am I way off basis with this or would that work? If it sounds functional what kind of switches or LEDs would you recommend? I was thinking of using the LEDs that come in a strip with glue on the back.
I am aware of the dangers of the vape cell batteries and will be taking precautions when handling them.
