Before I start, I kindly request my fellow Redditors to respond the post in English. I’m sorry, but I don’t know Hindi, and translations are not always accurate. 🥲

I’ve wanted to make this post ever since the rumors about Mahi leaving started circulating.😭

From my perspective, I think she joined the show after a long break because she genuinely connected with the mother-daughter dynamic of the story. Seeing her insta and how much she loves being a mother, I think she took on the role to showcase how fearless a mother’s love is. She probably loved how protective the character Kasur is and the lengths she goes to in order to make sure her daughter is educated, independent, and fearless.

At the same time, I can understand why Mahi may not be fully satisfied with her character arc right now. In the original series, Kızıl Goncalar, all Meryem (Kasur’s counterpart) could really do in Season 1 was try to protect her daughter from being forced into marriage at a young age. When she couldn’t stop it, her focus shifted toward ensuring two things: first, that her daughter would not become pregnant at such a young age, and second, that she would continue her education.

Later, when Zeynep develops feelings for Cüneyd, Meryem ultimately decides to go to the authorities, by not just turning herself in for being complicit in child marriage, but also exposes everyone involved, including her husband, Cüneyd (Mahid’s counterpart), and his family. In many ways, Meryem was helpless throughout Season 1.

But Season 2 completely changes her journey. We see Meryem become far more active and influential alongside Cüneyd, addressing issues such as women’s rights to work, consent, ending child marriage and systemic oppression within their community. She eventually becomes one of the most important characters in the story, the first woman in their sect to divorce her husband in front of all men, gain the right to work and earn independently, challenge the deeply misogynistic system, and support Cüneyd in bringing progressive reform to their sect.

That is why I truly wish Mahi could see the bigger picture and stay with the show because she has been phenomenal. Her and Parth’s performances are honestly the main reason I continue watching. Their acting feels so raw, emotional, and captivating.

Even from the recent promos, I can already see where the writers are trying to take the story. I genuinely wish she would stay despite all the current drama because I honestly don’t think Mahi is someone who can easily be replaced.

More than anything, I hope she speaks with the director and producers about wanting a stronger character arc for herself because I truly believe her journey could become one of the most impactful parts of the show.

Hi everyone,

I want to share my thoughts on the recent MOD’s decision to limit off-set discussions in this forum. I don’t really know how I feel about it, but I do respect their decision and will absolutely follow the rules moving forward, given that they want to truly focus on the show and show only.

That said, I just want to share my two cents, and I genuinely hope this post gets approved. I’m not trying to go against their decision and I just hope that given how large this community is,  the Mods might be open to hearing a few of our perspectives too.

As someone who is not Indian, this forum has truly been my main source for context, because there is little to no community outside here and I’m the only one who watches Seher. 😭 So, when I found this subreddit, I was so happy to read and interact with soooo many amazing people who shared the same love for Cüneyd (Mahid’s) and Zeynep (Seher’s) characters. It really feels like a community and still does. 🥹

This is my also first time being part of an India drama forum, so I don’t know how it’s regulated from others. But with the recent Mod’s announcements and locked discussion posts, I feel like since when did reddit discussion become so heavily moderated that people have to walk on eggshell just to have a normal discussion about the drama and recent events that transpired? 🧐

I’m a big fan of Korean and Turkish drama, and this type of off-set drama is pretty common, lol especially in Turkish. One prime example I can give is Hercai (another fantastic drama btw). I’ve joined those forums where Mod’s gave fans the space to openly discuss and share their thoughts and concerns, especially when there were worried about the show’s future or how behind the scene conflicts might affect the shows rating. Fan wars between main characters were inevitable, but the mods handled it by removing genuinely alarming posts rather than shutting down conversation altogether.

Again, even if I don’t fully agree with recent decisions, I will follow the rules. I really don’t want to get banned lol! 😅 But I do think that restricting discussion in this way ends up silencing the community a little, even if that's not the intention.

For example, a recent new interview dropped where Seher’s stepmother Safiya spoke up about the controversy. I’m pretty sure under the new rules we won’t be able to discuss it.

Anyway, If I have offended anyone with my opinion and this long post, I’m truly sorry! 😔

Not sure if anyone caught Rishita's boyfriend latest Instagram story, but it looks like he is not backing down.

I'm genuinely trying to understand what he's implying though. What evidence has been changed? What statements or articles have been taken down? Does anyone know??

This line especially got me, *"*Dragging someone's name without proof is not truth, it's strategy. That's how certain PR games work." - It seems like a dig to Parth, but I might be reaching at this point.

This made no sense to me because nobody dragged his name into this. This whole thing started when Parth posted about taking a hiatus from social media due to online trolling. He didn't seem to mention anyone by name. And while that was happening, Mridul was simultaneously posting pictures of his dog with captions about “Dogs being loyal than Human” and throwing up old Bollywood songs that were pretty clearly aimed at Parth's situation. It seems like he inserted himself and everything kind of just escalated from there.

On a separate note, since this is my first time in the Indian drama world, is it normal for celebrity managers here to have over a million Instagram followers? I've been going through his content and maybe I'm biased at this point, but there is nothing appealing about his content. Maybe, his followers like his lifestyle. But, a million is a massive number!! Through research, even Bollywood newcomers like Ibrahim Ali Khan has around 1.5 million. So, a manager from the Indian TV drama world having similar numbers feels pretty unusual to me. Would love if someone could shed some light on that!
