I have one fucking compound word
ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY
ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY
Hello, all. My daughter is 14 years old. She's been playing brass for the last 2.5 years (trumpet, flugelhorn, mellophone, french horn), one of those years with upper brackets. She went through a really serious depression last summer after getting them put on. It's been really tough for her, but she has excelled in a huge way and just in general LOVES music and playing. Her mentors and teachers are always telling me how great she's doing. She went right from band 1 to band 4. She has a private tutor. It's her driving force, which is also important as she has pretty bad ADHD. She plays through what she tells me is some serious physical discomfort already, but is scheduled to get a Herbst appliance and lower brackets soon.
I/We are worried. She's going into highschool next year, which will include both regular band (concert/marching) and jazz band. Accepted into an advanced track program and wants to go to college to pursue music.
I honestly don't know what to do. Her molars on her left side don't completely touch and she has a good bit of an overbite, that apparently she feels like helps her play well (I am not a musician, so I don't know). I have a $5k plan I'm paying off for the dental work, but I honestly would lose the money without batting a lash if it were the right thing to do. She's scared to not fix her dental issues, but also scared of losing what she has going with her music.
Any input from musicians would be appreciated.
Whole life, I have been told I have CH, but now I'm not sure.
I hear a lot about hair loss during usage (which I experienced in the last 7 or so years of my time with kratom), but how about after?
I noticed I lost a huge, diffuse chunk of my hair around 3-5 months post quit. It's starting to slow down now, but maybe the stress of withdrawal? Mine were a rough go.
