Private shuttle lake louise + moraine ?

Obviously park shuttle and Roam are both booked.

We wanna rent a private car tour guide to bring us to louise for sunrise, stay there a while spend rest of day at moraine till sunset or visa versa.

Also thinking of brining an inflatable kayak (obviously following all rules).

Mostly what I see are either private means includes a full day guide which increases price manifold, or a group shuttle.

Anyone got suggestions?

Also, how hard is it , or how big the line is for the renting the canoe at each of those locations?

Logistics, passes/reservations check for the popular sunshine -> mt shark 5 day backpacking

I am trying to tie up logistics in terms of reservations and passes I need to get.

(Please forgive me for dumb mistakes, I am a noob when it comes to planning). This is probably one of my most planned trips.

( I am actually in Banff/Canmore area a couple days before and would love to visit lake louise but the hotels there are like $500-$1000), so beyond my budget. Any suggestions?

D-0 : Drive to Mt Shark, park the car. Come back, how? Taxi: three sisters taxi costs about CAD 350-400 N-0 : Thinking of spending N-0 in sunshine lodge, booked but cancelable. Better alternatives?

So far I got following reservations secured:

N-1. porcupine (still refreshing parks canada page hourly for Howard Douglas Lake - Su8). Please let me know what other better alternative there is. I'd rather not to extra climb up and down if I can avoid it.

N-2. OG Lake

N-3. Magog Lake

N-4. Magog Lake

N-5. Marvel Lake

Drive back on D-6. Stay in the area another 4 days, resting/doing small hikes (suggestions?)

What other passes/reservations I haven't but will need before going and how soon should I make them?

Are there better alternatives to any part or all of plans?

Rain mid september Banff sunshine village / Assiniboine?

Edit: okay I realize it’s a dumb question. 🤓. Sorry everyone.

Just asking folks who are familiar with area would you plan to or expect to bring shell pants? That’s all. Because I don’t currently own one and it’s kind of an investment.

— original —

We will be backpacking 4-5 days some in Banff and some in Assiniboine area, mid september.

Wondering if I really need to bring a hard shell pant (I'll bring hard shell jacket), but does it really rain that much ? Or I guess what are chances of heavy rain?

Sorry about noob Q

Share taxi Mt Shark trailhead to Canmore, Sept 11th?

New here, anyone needs/wants to share taxi ride and cost on Sept 11 (or maybe even 10th) from Mt shark Trailhead to Canmore?

I am able to work around your schedule likely, prefer evening, but if it saves money I can go little earlier in day.

Looking for feedback, fairly beginnner backpackers (pleas be kind)

We are noobs (only done 3 backpacking trips so far all in Yosemite 3-4 days each). Trying something new this time at Banff.

From my limited AI (I know I know that's why I'm here) research, I have come up with following.

I did some searches on this sub and cobbled this together. But I am not very confident with my planning so looking for some feedback from folks!

Please help by critiquing/fixing my plans or tell me I am plain stupid.

Sept 5: From YYC, rental car, drive to Mt. Shark Trailhead (some grocery shopping on the way) drop the vehicle. Catch a shuttle (? have to find one?) to Sunshine Village. Take the gondola, try to make it to Howard Douglas Lake. (6-7kms?)

Sept 6: HD Lake -> Citadel Pass ->Valley of the Rocks -> Og Lake (15-17kms?).

Sept 7: Og Lake -> Lake Magog (6-7km?). Set camp, Wonder around the nub? Is that even right?

Sept 8: Hang around the Magog / Assiniboine core area.

Sept 9: Magog->Marvel (~15kms?)

Sept 10: Marvel -> Mt Shark Parking lot, get car and head to Harvey Heights. (13 km)

TIA
