Hello, I turned down a job the morning after I accepted at my current company because I got another offer for the same position at another company for a much, much higher pay. I did try to negotiate at my company for a similar wage but they were not at all willing to budge. Since then, this has become a huge ordeal and I’ve had to talk to the director to confirm my decision which they’ve even given me more time to ‘sleep on’.

My new position starts in a month so I’d like to give me two weeks notice in a couple weeks, is it better to give a month’s notice now as I’m turning down the position? Or later at my two weeks mark?
