New alternatives?
I’ve been using chai for 3 years now I believe? I’ve been paying for ultra as soon as it rolled out and been a loyal user but I talk to many bots and make many bots myself.
I use chai casually as I’m a college student and hadn’t used it for like a week then decided to read through my old chats with a bot I created and there were gone, just the starting message. I use the bots to rp fictional stories, sometimes romances other times to mess around with bots and most of those chats were gone. I assumed it was a glitch and didn’t think much of it but after a few days never corrected itself. Finally looked it up on google and it directed me to the official chai Reddit where this was an update?? Why would you make an update to get rid of chat histories? I get storage wise but get rid of bots that haven’t been used in awhile and have less than 10-20 chats? My bots had atleast 200 and all those chats are gone.
Did they say anything about fixing this issue or are our chats like officially got for good? Because if they are quite frankly I don’t think I’ll be renewing my subscription and I’ll be looking for a new app and honestly I’m looking for suggestions because any ai app I’ve used just doesn’t hold up to chai. Idk if it’s just that I’m used to chai’s format but with ultra they hold memories fine, you get pretty descriptive replies and there’s little to no moderation with the bots where I find other apps are very high in moderation and you can’t even have a character take off a shirt.
Is this chai’s downfall or are they gonna listen to their users and get rid of this dumb feature.
