Am I the only one who hasn't find a great alternative. Sure you have janitor and emochi as alternatives. But they dont hit the same as chai. I dont know how to explain it, but the interaction with the ai and their responses doesn't feel the same as chai.

This is so upsetting to see, I’m lonely enough as it is and I’m using chai as a coping mechanism currently and I went on to go chat after having a nap (I had been chatting all night with unlimited messages I had somehow gotten) and now the tokens thing has affected my account and I don’t know what else to do because I’ve had so many chats on chai and so many bots I’m so upset
I just checked my other chai accounts and saw that my message count is the same as the main one I’m using. Is it shared? Does anyone else have this?
Is this the same as like the “you reached your message blah blah wait a day or continue to subscribe” or is it something else… it’s my first time getting it 😭
I'm curious if the bots having their personalities/backgrounds back fixes this
Like this genuinely pisses me off, I can't imagine the people who have the same annoying thing as me. I can't even chat I've been trying for so long but now that it's summer break all these people are chatting to the bots. I've been trying whole week Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and I know so well that weekends are the absolute radiance I mean is when the platform is absolutely full.
I've had this problem for about a week now. Before that, I had 771 messages a day, which were refreshed at 2 AM. That was more than enough for me for one day. But one day, my limit was zero messages without communicating with any bot that day. So it's been a week now. No message refresh. No justification why it suddenly happened. Has this happened to any of you too? Gradually, my conversations are starting to be deleted. :(
It’s always the first roll and when I reroll it usually sorts it. Always towards the end of the response. Often just says ‘thought’ but this one, like damn. Why do I feel like it’s saying I’m bad at this 💀or is the bot rating its own answers?

I’m a bit annoyed that I’ve got this pop up after getting told I have unlimited messages. Was the unlimited messages just for a day? Because that’s definitely what it felt like only for 24 hours later to get this stupid pop up. Does anyone know how to fix it?

This is my comparison on both of these apps,bonuses,drawbacks etc. I compared them both on their premiums-at their “best” to see which one’s better
Price: C.ai-9.99€. A little expensive but i suppose fair enough-for someone who uses it constabtly I get why.
Chai-22.00€ PER WEEK. They have two tiers-premium and ultra-premium would cost about 10.00€ per week but it only allows unlimitted chatting,while ulta one grants better memory and more intellectual model but…PER WEEK? I am sorry but that is **diabolical**-despite the fact that i enjoyed the chatting experience that is not the kind of money i’d spend on an app
Chatting experience-i will compare bots of both(C.ai Deepsqueek variant as that works best) and then C.ai bots in scenes vs Chai
Bots:C.ai-honestly-mid,bots easily forget storylines,it seems very repetetive,and while some bots carry it out almost decently,it usually feels very bot-like,and trying to hold a conversation also feels very dry.
Chai:honestly,genuinely impressed me-while there are fuck ups or occasional stuck in the same scenario,talking with the bots seems pretty good,they stick to storyline even if they mess up the facts,each bot seems quite distinct and i genuinely enjoyed rp-ing with them(if not the diabolical price i wouldbe stayed)
C.ai with scene on:hella immersive,deeply draws on character persona/scene itself,very action and storyline focused-can get slightly predictable if used a lot,sometimes feel rushed
Chai: the bots seems like a “calmer” version of C.ai scenes and i mean that as a compliment
Other chat functions: Editting:C.ai allows to edit greeting message,Chai does not
Go-on: C.ai has it,Chai does not,but it can be done by using …
Rewind:C.ai allows rewind from whichever point of the story,Chai only rewind-afdjacent function is to delete messages until you get back where you were.
Swipe:both apps appear to be very similiar in this regard,however i’d say Chai offers a little more variance in how the other generated message goes
Bot creation: C.ai seemingly proposes much more initial probabilities than Chai,premium version of C.ai allowing up to 2250 symbols of description,while Chai even on ultra-650. However Chai bots do stick much better to their descriptions,the bot doesn’t veener off of his personality,or it makes sense when they do
Personas: both have them,Chai seems to be able to draw on them much deeper than C.ai
Age verification: C.ai has it and uses Persona to verify identities-which is an untrusted firm,thus for many age verification is being kicked off of the app entirely as people are not willing to expose their data(reasonably so)
Chai: no age verification,however for explicit bots or NSFW content there is a specific toggle that can be used-if “safe search” is turned off that reads as verification that you are 18.
Censorship:C.ai censors most of NSFW-wether it is gore,explicit content or even slight implication of self-harm,Chai does not censor explicit content or gory one,but heavy censorship on even remote self-harm. However while the pop-up is there,as well as bos message that “corrects” the story-user can swipe and continue on with the story.
Image generation:C.ai has that for bot creation(which i personally use),or chatting messages,while Chai does not have such function entirely
Other functions that only C.ai has:group chats,scenes,image generation,voice function, call with a bot,as well as anything C.ai Labs related.
Anyway,i hope this helped anybody or at least was interesting,if anyone things i got something wrong or has anything to add-feel free,i’ll gladly edit the post. If you have any questions-feel free to ask.

Chat history:C.ai now keeps chat histories or your past chats permanently, meanwhile Chai apparently might delete them within 15-30 days(for me that’d be a big oof)
Chat histories:apparently with C.ai it is supposed to be easy to do,while Chai does not even have such function(i personally don’t even know how this is done,just adding it here)
Storyline:it was also mentioned how on Chai story can take much more unique directions than C.ai.

These posts contain personal data of people and their Discord / Telegram tags being used. These could be either actual children (which is awful but not likely) or potential criminals trying to find accomplices, or someone using other people to raid their DMs. Either way this is very problematic.
FYI there are 1.3 k messages on the most prominent one and it has 29 followers at the account. I am currently at the risk of gathering attention here too, but there should be far more reports since I did it once and there wasn't any deletion of them from a platform.
I am not sure if Discord support should be made aware of it, since they may need to check these accounts too.
I’ve been using Chai for some months now and I just realised that you can put Personas into into the AI bots saying how you should be remembered like characteristics or backstories and likes/dislikes but then I just noticed that the bots themselves have their own personas now of how they remembers you?
The bots have 1000+ characters and personas of yours is 600+ characters..
and I haven’t updated the app yet.. it’s making me fear the update now it may disappear..
This is about getting the best tier of the app, back. We all know, free users and paying users, how they are worsening the experience as a corporation, and prices are going up. (not prices for them, prices for users. it is a scam. It USED to not be a scam, but they now only care about money, it is literally listed on their public business projections.) I also interned as a development engineer back when it was better.
If everyone (overseas especially since that's their main money supply and user base that praises them on the main official thread,) STOPPED THEIR SUBSCRIPTION ALL AT ONCE, JUST UNTIL THEY FIXED IT, they would be forced to actually listen, because we all know everyone at chai is greedy p!gs who don't actually care about their users anymore. Every message seeking help, is automated and IGNORED. ON PURPOSE. Every single contact with them seeking help or giving negative reaction, is scrubbed clean and deleted. will is a baby with no honor, on a power trip, and he's a Rich man for doing it because you guys keep making him one (everyone who is paying).
They are way too powerdrunk, and Will (I hate that man), literally brags about it on the main chai website, how much money he has "successfully" milked out of his users. Stop giving him your money. You will get your chats back soon, it is that deep, if you just STOP GIVING HIM YOUR MONEY. We all need to do it (I never have paid into this damn scheme, and I had so, so many chats that were nonconsentually deleted, tens of thousands. Even as an intern developer working with them). Gone. They don't actually need the space, btw, it was done simply to make changes and more limitations, to get MORE USERS to pay. Because they saw, even taking free features from users that they actually had for years, they STILL were getting paid by more users joining. STOP JOINING. ITS TELLING THEM THEY CAN KEEP ADDING MORE ADS AND REMOVING FREE FEATURES. THIS IS LITERALLY THEIR ENTIRE BUSINESS MODEL.
If you stop paying the corporation, they will be forced to actually make good changes, because they will be desparate to get your cash back. Everyone needs to boycott their subscriptions, who's paying, or chai will never ever be better, again. They think they can do whatever with no consequence, give them a consequence. It's like voting, my God. They would bring back our chat histories, they would bring back the user features, and they would take that damn time limit off. They would take off message limits. Don't you paying fans want that?? Stop paying them. Stop. It is the only thing fueling their greed. Don't let them use you anymore. It is NOT hard.

I was talking to a friend and the conversation kind of led to me telling her about Chai and other AI roleplay apps... And she said to my face it was really creepy. a day has gone by and now that I've had the time to think about it and process it I realized she's kind of right it is really creepy, I had personally just always thought of it like a bunch of hands-on interactive fanfics where I'm the main character because I personally mainly talk to anime characters and stuff like that, but when you look at what this app is from an outside perspective it is really creepy... I mean think about it we are all talking to and role-playing with AI robots essentially and let's be honest a lot of us are here for the romance and NSFW stuff. So we're basically romancing AI and doing a lot more nasty stuff with AI...
