Range vs Course
This is a perfect example of why I don't play with my driver on course. Hit about 20 in a row dead straight before I turned the camera on. I was in a rhythm. The moment I leave the mat, go set up the camera and return to hopefully continue hitting some good ones. It takes me a couple reps to get back into the groove.
On course, I'm probably 10-15 minutes between driver shots minimum and there's no "fine tuning station" before your shot. Almost all of my shots on course look like my second shot and result in terrible approach shots or lost balls. 75% of my shots at the range look like my last shot (straight or 5-10 yard draw with a 290ish carry). Mainly timing the release is my issue.
Im 11 months into the journey with a 4 month layoff for rib and back injury from bad swing mechanics (different swing then what's in the video. This is 3 months into the Porzak Golf methodology). So yeah I'm still new. But I'm trying to figure out how to bring the range shot to the course when you hit the club so infrequently during a round. It would help my scores tremendously.
