Credit Pay Off Advice Please!
Hello! I had some credit cards about 4 years ago which ended up being a very financially insecure time for me unexpectedly. This led to delinquent payments/no payments and I’ve kind of just let it roll from there. So the last payment on those cards would likely be about 4 years ago. I am now in a better position and would like to open a card, but am unsure what to do as I know credit debt “goes away” after a certain number of years. So looking for advice! If I pay these cards now, will I immediately be able to open a new card no problem? Should I just open with another lender and let these cards reach the year limit to be erased? I have some car work coming up and would like to be able to put that on a card to then pay off on my time, so any and all advice is welcome! Thank you!
