The Herald says they are looking at new venues. But Barfoot and Thomson are “redeveloping it”. Makes me very sad - and angry too! When something is not broke, don’t try and redevelop it to make more $$$. Money can’t buy the type of happy that has lived in that place for years. The community of the place and what it is, that is worth more than any redevelopment.
I lived less than 200m from it for two years and it was always such a beautiful place to sit and be with friends.
Hey Barfoot, have a heart and fix this.
Some things matter more than money.
