Hey everyone, hoping someone here has dealt with this before.

I have an iPhone through AT&T on the NextUp upgrade program, and I also have AppleCare+ on it. I'm thinking about using my AppleCare+ to get a replacement device, but I'm a little worried about what happens to my NextUp eligibility after.

Since the replacement iPhone will have a different IMEI than the original device I purchased from AT&T, will AT&T still recognize it as the device tied to my NextUp program? Or will the swap basically kill my upgrade eligibility?

Has anyone gone through this? Did AT&T update the IMEI on the account automatically, or did you have to call in? Any help is appreciated! 🙏
