Office of the President

Anyone have any luck getting a call back from the President's Office? I received an email almost 2 weeks ago with a contact to reach out to. Her phone number and email gave availability M-F 8-5pm. I have left 3 emails with no response and probably 15 voicemails. I have called probably 50 times. I looked the woman up on linkedin and the profile is very very sparse, 4 connections only. Only experience is working at at&t for 24 years. Is this a real person? Is this another way to bypass?

ATT corporate store- Mandatory protection plan to upgrade?

Just upgraded to IPhone 17 and the agent would not activate and transfer my old data to new phone in store unless I signed up for the protection plan..is this new?

Get home and see they also charged me a $35 activation fee.. ridiculous.

I hate dealing with cell companies..are there any good companies left? Been with ATT 10+yrs and feel like they’re getting progressively worse

What to do with an iPhone 14 Pro Series in 2026

i bought an iphone 14 pro the december after the phone's release. i still have it to this day... but recently its starting to give me problems (more specifically with battery and charging). and right now im trying to weigh my options...

most logical answer would be to wait for the 18 (since carriers tend to have the best trade in offers after a phone's release) since it'll still be eligible for the highest trade in value. but due to these rumored iphone 18 price increases that the 17 never got... im wondering if getting the 17 pro might be the more appealing option since the differences between the 17 and 18 might be insignificant (even though when the 17 came out initially, people were saying its not worth the upgrade). only issue with this thought is that the promos are garbage atm and from what i hear, its never good to upgrade a phone in the middle of its cycle. maybe wait for the 18 to get the 17 in hopes of a price drop? idk. would the price of the 17 pro series go down from its current msrp or perhaps stay the same to adjust for the inflated price we'll see in september when the 18 drops. or do i just future-proof myself for another year and get the 18.

however, rumors say it might be a $200 increase. is an extra year worth $200 when i plan on keeping this phone for 3-4 years just for it to be valued at the same price as the 17 if i go to trade it in down the line?

another alternative option would be just replacing the battery (which is the main issue for me personally) and prolonging the life of my phone in time for the 20th anniversary next fall. only issue i can possibly think of with that would be not receiving the highest amount of trade in credit by the time that phone comes out.

i am open to other options. im assuming the answer at least for me will vary based on if the specs or the price differences are justified. or perhaps longevity. but at the same time i still want to make the best/smartest decision overall

Prime Communications is the most unethical business I’ve ever come across!

What they do to their employees and customers is disgusting. If you went to be fully ethical, don’t ever work there. Even if what they do sometimes is not technically fraud, it IS still wrong!
Letting employees tell customers that their phone has to leave the store with insurance or any variety of such is a LIE. Employees are either encouraged to lie or allowed to lie, but when an employee says this, it’s not true! They are banking on a certain % to not remove it.
They also add lines that are not needed. I’m not exactly sure how they find the loopholes in this one. Maybe it is outright fraud.
This company is dirty. They should be sued into oblivion.

Switcher Payoff Issues with Affirm

I'm hoping someone might have some information on this. I added a new line to my account during the Switcher Payoff promotion. I'm having issues trying to get the rebate and the person at the Reward Center said the payoff could not be done because the phone that was brought over was purchased through Affirm on loan while purchased from Visible and used on Visible's network.

Does anyone know if this is correct? Does financing the phone through Affirm not work with the Switcher Payoff promotion? Thanks.

ATT is horrible. I got my phone replaced, a Samsung S25 Ultra, through my warranty program and due to it not coming directly from ATT, they will not support Visual Voicemail or ATT video calling.

My S23 Ultra from ATT contained a lot of unnecessary apps, bloatware. I dealt with it since the phone was basically free three years ago. Well it malfunctioned recently and had it replaced through my warranty program. The warranty company gave me the S25 Ultra, Samsung SM-S938U1, which is the direct from Samsung variant. Well, ATT will not unlock their Visual Voicemail app in the Google Play Store to be compatible with direct from manufacturer devices. What a load of shit. I never had this issue with Verizon or T-Mobile in the past. This company is so sideways.

Please, does anyone know any work arounds to get visual voicemail? Within the Google Phone app, Visual Voicemail is greyed out and it will not let me toggle it on. I called ATT and they have zero solutions other than to buy their bloatware phones from them.

First pic is the Google Phone App toggle, the second and third Pic is the non compatible ATT Visual Voicemail app in Google Play.

eSIM transfer successful but no signal

I paid for a prepaid eSIM plan today and successfully transferred over my old phone number from a different service. However, even after the transfer is successful, I have no signal or service, cannot text or call. I thought maybe a few resets and airplane mode might help- did not, even reset my network settings. It’s been hour 6 now of having no signal/service. Tried calling AT&T got pushed to 2 different departments and then finally to a bot that hung up on me. At this point I have no clue what to do or who to reach out to, guess I’ll have to go to a physical store tomorrow…

Beginning to regret this transfer

Protect Advantage Claim?

Have an s21 with charging port issues. Went into ATT and first guy said I have Protect Advantage 1 and should open a claim but another worker there said it wouldn't be covered and a customer there told me to claim it lost and upgrade because a repair isn't worth it. I didn't even realize there was insurance on phone. $16/month, deductible up to $275. I'm in a financially bad spot and trying to not get into more debt. I've also had some sketch things happen at my local att store with basically bait and switch deals. What would you do? What better options are there?

ATT Access went up to $15 even though the area still stuck on 10/1

Why they do dis? used to be $10 for 1TB cap.

Now it's $15 for 1.5 TB cap and still 10/1 . Slow as can be compared to even my phone now.

Hit or miss texts..

Sometimes .. pretty often actually my husband won't get or recieve texts. He won't even know it until I ask why he ignored me & then I see his phone and he either never got mine or he did answer me but I never actually got them. This is not on my end (have T-Mobile) as its not just him with me, it was just verified with one of his friends. I surely took the blame because tmobile just has not been that great for and to me. But definitely an att thing. He restarts his phone and his friends phone starting ding ding dinging right in front of us.

What could the reason for this be? Not like he loses service, internet works, calls work, etc.

New Fiber and new Wireless customer on the same day. 20% bundle discount applied to Fiber only.

Hi, all.

To make this story short. Our neighborhood just got fiber lines installed, and we've switched over from cable on 5/29 with it being installed and in-service on 6/2 (early afternoon). Same night, on 5/29, we've had NDS folks swing by and we've ended up signing up for AT&T wireless as well. Service was activated on 6/2 (around 7pm).

I've since paid the Fiber bill once already, and the next one is showing the 20% applied to Fiber only. I was under the impression that if the internet was activated/in-service first, the 20% would go towards the wireless bill. I just checked the wireless bill, and we've gotten all of the credits that were disclosed to us when we signed up, except for aforementioned 20% one.

I've called both NDS VIP line and the usual 611 (going to level 2 support), and they're giving me a run-around. I'll keep following up with them and escalating but wanted to see if anyone had dealt with this before. I would've waited an extra day for wireless, but there was another activation issue we were dealing with at the same time that caused the lines being activated the same day.

Appreciate it.

Advice on Scammy Corporate Store

I purchased a hotspot in full with a line on May 22nd. Had issues self activating so I call 611 and they mentioned there was a restriction on the line from what I recall it was called and CSR would put me on hold to investigate but then moments later the call would drop. I called back roughly 2 more times and the same situation happened so I decided to go into a corporate store.

Employee and the manager say the same thing about the restriction but told me they’ll cancel the line and create a new line. Great, right?

Days later I see my bill is ready and not only was the old line still active but I also have an installment plan on the new line. Mind you the agreement for the installment does not have my signature.

I file a complaint with the BBB and the next day I get a call from the office of the president. Great guy, he was able to resolve the cancellation of the original line on the account. However, he said only the store manager can assist with the removal of the installment plan since I “signed” the agreement.

I make a trip back to the corporate AT&T store and the employee says you’ll have to come back when the manager is here. He’ll be here on this date between 9-6. Cool, I leave and then come back the day I was told 1-1.5 hours before 6. Another employee says sorry you just missed him but I just texted him and he’ll be back on this day between 9-6.

Guess what? This goes on for another 2-3 occurrences with the employee on the 3rd occurrence on a Friday saying the manager wants to take down my name and number and he’ll reach back out in 2 business days.

Well the next Thursday rolls around, almost a whole week later, and no call. I pay them another visit. “Sorry, you just missed the manager but he’ll be back on the fourth between 9-6.”

I come back yesterday on the fourth at 9:30 and they’re not even open. I give them the benefit of the doubt and go run errands for a 4th celebration then came back at 10. They’re open, cool. First employee says he won’t be in until 11 but let me call him. Claims he’s not answering and then goes to help another customer. Another employee walks out onto the floor from the back room and asks if I need help. Yes I do so I tell him my frustration and the situation. He tells me “the manager won’t be in today since it’s a holiday and you can come back next week because I’m not dealing with you after you came after me with your bullsh*t”

This whole situation is ridiculous… at least 5 visits and numerous calls within a near 45 day window.

What can I do to get this installment plan corrected? Am I stuck paying double for a device I already paid in full for?

New fiber

We are new to att fiber but have been att wireless customers for over 25 years (multiple acquisitions). Our fiber was installed incorrectly and now doesn’t connect to a terminal and won’t work. It has been days with the runaround from multiple folks on the phone. Today they offered me a $3 credit! I need service and can’t get anyone to commit to a next appointment to add the terminal in our yard as the original contractors should have done. It seems we are SOL and desperately need to reach someone to help us. We’ve been kind to everyone and pleaded for help from anyone who will listen. What else can we do?

Lost internet this morning and the tech can't show up until Monday afternoon.

I am super irritated. My fiber internet went out this morning and nobody can show up until Monday. It has been solid since last November. I seem to be the only one in the neighborhood that has no internet. I restarted and reset the gateway. I made sure all the visible wires are inserted securely. I don't see any light in the fiber line. It is the 4th of July and nobody was doing any work in the immediate area. I checked the utility box outside and nothing looks out of the ordinary. Is there something not so obvious I should look for or am I SOL until Monday afternoon?

At&t sim locked iPhone

I bought a SIM locked iPhone 17 Pro Max in Pakistan that is locked to AT&T. I want to know what happens if the AT&T installments are not paid.
Will the phone become unusable or “bricked”? Could it start showing the message: “This device can’t be activated. Please call this number to activate your device”?
I’m asking because many people with AT&T SIM locked iPhones have reported this issue, and when they check their devices on Sickw.com, the status shows “Blocked (Property of AT&T).”

AT&T Signature Discount Glitch

What was meant to be straightforward turned into anger and annoyance with the incompetence of AT&T. So I work for Sharp Healthcare in San Diego, and I'm eligible for the Signature Discount. I've uploaded my paystub countless times but I just kept getting repeat messages to upload again.

I called the customer service but they told me I had the discount a few days ago and told me not to worry about the repetitive auto messages. Just now, I got a text saying my discount got dropped because AT&T didn't receive my documents. Needless to say I'm pretty fucking pissed; one of the reasons I joined AT&T was because of this discount program.

Does anyone have any similar experiences?

Tmobile Super Mobile Vs AT&T

Recently swapped to AT&T Elite 2.0.

Super mobiles network slice is cool and was attractive.

The idea of the watch and tablet being included helped to justify the change.

I travel a lot local in the USA. I am also involved in work where priority of QCI is important. Airports, processing facilities, large gatherings, conventions and others.

Elite 2.0 comes with AT&T turbo.

But I wonder if Business Premium 2.0 with Turbo or Premium 3.0 and add turbo will get me a lower QCI priority?

My major motivation to change from Tmobile is their cost versus support. Testing AT&T for now.

Any update to the above would be great!

**EDIT**

I am a heavy user. Average is about 200-300GB’s a month. My current 30days to date is hovering around 403GB.

Thank you
