Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on Reddit. I’ve been dealing with really bad ping spikes in pretty much every game I play, including Roblox, Minecraft, horror games, and even Discord calls. The connection will be fine for a little while and then suddenly spike really high for no clear reason. I originally had this issue on WiFi, but after switching to Ethernet it worked great for about 1–2 months before the problem came back. My router is in the living room pretty far from my room, so I’m using a 60–75 ft (22.86m) cable . I’ve replaced the cable very recently after buying the other one 2 months ago, updated my network drivers, and tested every Ethernet port on the router, but nothing has made a difference. One thing I should mention is that my modem/router is over 10 years old. It never caused issues before, but the problems started around 3 months ago, so I’m starting to wonder if the hardware is outdated or if the issue could be related to something else. Any advice would be appreciated
