1930s–50s semis have basically vanished

1930s–50s semis have basically vanished. In 2018/2019 they were everywhere, especially fixer‑uppers. Now supply’s collapsed: owners won’t move, rates froze sellers, reno costs soared, and demand exploded. The few that appear are overpriced and gone instantly. What is available our 80s terrace houses etc, which look ugly. Anyone else seeing this?

Positives about a 1930s house

I've been reading a lot about the doom and gloom on purchasing/owning a 30s house. I also go through buyers remorse sometimes even though my old lady (1930s semi detached) has been been through WII and is still standing strong. So, lets talk about the positives of owning a 30s property and share some insight from those who may have lived in one a lot longer than millennial like most of us? 😄

Buyers remorse almost 4 years on.

I bought a 1930s semi detached in 2023 and although I am grateful to have a roof over my head and my mortgage repayments are relatively low, I still have period of buyers remorse. I feel like I over payed when i purchased the house, the kitchen is small and the floors are uneven. My friends think its a nice house but I feel like they are being kind. Sometimes, I feel suffocated in the house and spiral, other times I'm grateful. Has anyone else felt like this too?
