Elder MGWT checking in to say: Good job.

I read a lot of these posts on my downtime and I have to say, some of you should take a step back and feel very proud of yourselves.

As Muslim women in the world, you are battling through some of the highest Islamophobia rates ever seen while still owning your Muslim identity proudly. That's the outside.

Inside, you are also battling your own communities, cultures, and biases to be the woman you were born to be, beyond the expectations that often weighs on our shoulders. There's nonstop wedding talk since you turned 18, but you keep going. There's never-ending aunties sharing their unneeded opinions (and sons). Then there's communities online dedicating to tearing you down (even amongst our own Muslim brothers and sisters), but you prevail.

And that's before we talk about the internal, most personal battle - wanting to be the best version of ourselves physically, mentally, and especially spiritually, no matter what we're hearing or seeing.

You are students, doctors, analysts, social workers, wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, and so much more. You have everything to be proud of and nothing to be ashamed of. You are constantly battling "Am I good enough?" when it comes to marriage, relationships, anything, and the answer is yes. You are more than good enough. There's room to get better and you will get there.

Thanks to the Mods for creating this space. Good job to all of you young Muslim women out there. You are doing amazing.
