Hi all!

I am beginning to research hatching my own quail as an option.

For context: I had a previous group of seven hens that I acquired to see if keeping quail was right for me. I built them a ground aviary in my yard and really enjoyed spending time with them. I am expanding my aviary this year to keep a greater number of quail as I now have some experience with keeping them.

But, only a few of my original hens remain. Finding quail in my area is scarce and it seems that hatching eggs would be the best option. Since I have not hatched my own eggs before I wanted to lean on the experience of this group to understand what I should expect and what I would need to set myself up for success.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
